Big Ten Network survey

Post#1 » by Icness » Tue Sep 11, 2007 1:05 pm

I'm curious about Big Ten Network access around the country. If you could post your repsonse and put in where you live in the thread I would greatly appreciate it.

I live in Holland MI and I am unable to get it from my cable company. My kind-hearted neighbor (an Illinois football alum) gets it on his dish and burns me DVDs of games from his DVR.

i think it comes with direct tv and dish network

i dont pay the cable bills but i thought we'd have to pay for it but it just showed up one day but my dad said he wouldnt pay for it and he's a huge Indiana fan (mainly basketball related, obviously)

i havent really watched it yet and dont know what all comes with it, i wish i wouldve known the channel for the app. st vs. michigan game. but i doubt they'll ever get any huge showdown games, at least not for the next couple years.

I get it on Directv, it's channel 220. Ther are alternate channels that pop up on gameday that show all the games that aren't on the main channel. I get the college football package though so I'm not sure if the alternates are provided by that package or not.

I live down here in Boca Raton, FL.

I don't get it at my house (I have digicable), but I don't mind because I usually go to the sports bar down the street and watch games there with all my friends.

i live in columbus, oh. i dont get it with my time warner cable, it didnt matter until this week since first two were home games. i am not sure whether huskies game on big ten but there is no way i am paying extra for it whether time warner offers or not. I rather go to a sports bar or friends house.

I live in town just off of campus and I go to school in Wisconsin. Our local cable provider doesn't carry it. How (Please Use More Appropriate Word) is that? The only people that get it are people with satellite dishes, and kids in the dorms, and the unions get it as well due to a special deal with the school.

Oh I forgot to mention, the network blows big time. It's a bunch of ESPN rejects and people that aren't funny but try to be on the "friday night tailgate" show.

I have basic cable but I practically don't need a Big 11 network. The teams I would watch from that conference are mostly shown on ABC or ESPN anyway. Michigan, The Ohio St. University & Purdue. I would like 2 see more Michigan games but they play way too early for me :( . I work overnight & the main time I would get up that early for a 9am Michigan game is when they play the Buckeyes or a big non conference game.
