Zaun likely to be placed on DL

Post#1 » by Crowned » Wed Apr 25, 2007 2:43 am

Sure, why not Zaun too? Who's next? Any predictions?

Toronto catcher Gregg Zaun hurt himself trying to throw Julio Lugo out at second on a stolen-base attempt in the first inning. Zaun took a couple practice throws, but remained in the game until walking off after Halladay warmed up to start the third. He was replaced by Phillips, and the Blue Jays said Zaun will go on the 15-day disabled list.

Does this mean we are calling up Sal Fasano? Wow we really have no depth anywhere.

I can not believe how unlikely we are with injuries right now.

He's no loss. You could tell by the way he was hitting this season, he'd probably hit .230 with 8 hr or something

Which is still miles better than what Phillips will do in a full time role.

The luck the Jays have had this season is unfair but if Halladay and Burnett stay healthy and with Glaus coming back soon i think they could stay in the race.

The Toronto Blue Jays expect Gregg Zaun to be out six to eight weeks, reports the Globe and Mail.

General manager J.P. Ricciardi explained that Zaun suffered a non-displaced fracture of a bone near his right thumb during Tuesday's 10-3 win

Honest question: is it possible to run out of DL spots?
