Anyone interested in a friendly wager for the Oct 5th game?

Matthews was wonderful to watch other than a couple early holding calls (understandable, he's only a rookie). He'll step in and provide an immediate impact at RT, the signing of John Asamoah will sure up the right side of the line while getting Baker back should sure up the left (fingers crossed that Baker doesn't suck). The line will really help the run game, I could legitimately see Steven Jackson going for 1000 yards barring injury, the offense should be better than ever with Julio back and with Matt Ryan having time in the pocket. If the defense can be middle of the pack, we'll have a really nice shot at winning the division.

Don't have too much expectations...but nowhere to go but up after 13.

Sam Baker just went down in a pre-season game. There is speculation it's a serious injury. If he's done for, our line is in serious flux once again.

I hope he recovers, but I hope this season can be salvaged as well.

(Seriously, how do we NOT have more depth on the O-Line yet?)

Baker isn't that good, this is a blow but not a serious blow. Jake Matthews should've been covering Ryan's blind side from the start, and we have the cap to sign a decent RT. Although I hope that Gabe Carimi can come in and be sufficient.

Agreed about Baker not being very good. Which makes Dimitroff's decision to extend him while releasing Tyson Clabo even more distressing.

Clabo and Todd McClure are sorely missed on our O-Line. Both were forced out by Dimitroff.

Matty Ice even made one of the SI covers this year:

On Sunday, the first season game for the Falcons, they will host the NFL's best coach,
the best quarterback, the best offensive team, the best defensive team and the very
best special teams known to man.

(If you don't believe this, just ask them)

We, the poor Falcons fans, must prepare ourselves for this onslaught.

Dang!

GO FALCONS!

Be as David and slay this giant!

LOL

I expect the Saints to handle business and I guess the Falcons a slight chance to stay in it. The Coaching staff and players will need to make no mistakes.

I know some Falcon fans don't care for the Seahawks, but as long as they can stand in the way of NO and knock them out, of the postseason if Atlanta can't do much, I'm all for em.

I disagree. Every game in this rivalry is a nail biter till the end: the last 11 games between the Falcons and Saints has been decided by 4 points or less. My guess is that whichever team has the ball last will win.

Well done, Adnan. You've grown up before our eyes the last few years. It might be time to officially change your handle to 'ATL MAN'!

Big win today for the home ball team. When healthy, we can hang with anyone.

I can see us going 6-2 in the first half very easily.

Thanks man, I appreciate it.

And agreed. If we can beat the Bengals next week, 8-0 before the bye isn't unrealistic.
