Falcons 2019 draft: Birds should draft OL

Post#1 » by atlantabbq99 » Wed Oct 3, 2018 5:16 pm

Only 4 games in but its starting to look obvious that the Falcons need some OL depth.

Falcons could also go DT, LB, or another safety and I would be fine with that and try to make the D into an elite level, but the Falcons should also not turn into the Seahawks after their super bowl run, where they got worst in their OL and never reinvested in their OL.

I would even be okay in using the first two pick and go OL and reinvest in the OL

Well the season is officially over. Falcons are just playing for draft position now, and the way the Loses are stacking up, it looks like the Birds will be able to draft the best OL or DT in the draft if they choose too.

The first two picks has to be DT and OL, but I just not sure what the order should be, DT/OL or OL/DT?

Falcons can draft Quinnen Williams in the first round and then Michael Deiter in the second round

Or Falcons can go with Jonah Williams in the first round and then just draft the best available DT that falls into the second round.

WOW, Greedy falls out of the first round and Falcons pass on him twice!

I called it again, with the OL prediction but I was sure the Birds would take defense with the second pick with so many quality defensive lines falling out of the 1st round.

Lindstrom and McGary, it is weird, but it looks like the Falcons are building an OL for speed.

Lindstrom is the fastest Guard in the draft, and McGary is the 2nd fastest Tackle in the draft. It will be interesting to see what sweep plays the Falcons will run with Lindstrom and McGary in free space when both guys can run 4.9

We have to keep Matt Ryan healthy and upright. CBS gave Matt Ryan ( Falcons ) a winning grade for the 1st round and I agree with it. Job 1 taken care of.

Those defensive picks have to develop and I hope Quinn can spin some magic now that he is taking over the defense. He likes speed and almost all of our picks possess that. Those two rookie running backs, thunder and lightning, should be fun to watch. I live in Ohio and a trip to the HOF Game may be in order.
