This is probably just click bait but some mock drafts now have Richardson and Levis going in the top 10 and pushing Stroud to the Falcons.... This would be a dream scenario. Just like what happen with Justin Fields years ago, but Falcons just did capitalize on it.

I viewed passing up on Fields just as bad as the Luka trade or Marvin Williams draft. If Atlanta some how decides to pass up on Stroud, this will just be another in a long line of idiotic loser Atlanta GM moves

I do love the thought of trading back for more picks.

Depth is key in the NFL...Especially cheap depth on rookie contracts.

^ I agree. Besides QB, everybody seems ok with going DB in the first round. Ringo is #1 but with the success of Sauce and Woolen, height and speed at the combine will play a big factor in the DB draft order, Ringo, Gonzalez, Porter, etc

Tyree Wilson is our pick in this mock.
He was a three star recruit. Ugh!
I looked up related articles about him related to his high school days.
______________

Wilson was a three-star defensive end at West Rusk High School in New London, Texas. Wilson was a top-75 player in the state of Texas — depending on the recruiting service — in the class of 2020.

I'm all in now on Lamar Jackson if we can acquire him. It's obvious what the QB's market value is now. $40-$50 million per season.

He's a game changer. As long as what we have to give up doesn't consist of three first round picks I will be content.

:D
Just think, in addition to the draft, Falcon's dead money is mostly in the past.
This means more money to spend on free agents, including some of our own!

Thoughts on trading back and picking up the top back in the draft?

^ I would trade up to get Carter, or trade down to get Ringo. I have Ringo as a top 5 pick, but some mock draft have him going between 5-20.

I will take Joey Porter Jr.
If we trade back I would prefer it to be further back so we acquire a load of draft picks

Sad and tragic news for all those involved. I hope the best for Jalen. I think things will come out fine and it won't hurt his draft stock, but now there is a small chance he falls to #8 with one of the Clemson guys going ahead of him.

Nolan Smith just killed it today at the combine. If another team is looking to trade, I wouldn't mind trading down and taking Nolan in the mid to late first round.

Will Anderson had a surprising bad 40. Kind of reminds me of the Jarvis Jones situation now. Hutchinson and the Bosas got 4.7, but still guys like Von Miller and Parsons were in the 4.4, 4.5 range. With that said Anderson is still a top 5 pick but with a 4.7 and if Richardson and Levis kill it at the workouts, it might make some teams QB hungry in the draft.

As I predicted, Ringo killed it today at the combine, of all the elite corners, he measured in as the fastest, heaviest, and tallest. Gonzalez is shorter than expected with a respectable 40 but still behind Ringo. Porter just had average measurements.

We will see if any top 5 guys fall to 8, but if not, Ringo is defiantly the guy to go with.

Cory Trice had a great combine, his stock will defiantly go up after today. I wouldn't mind taking him in the 2nd round if he is still available.

All for drafting Nolan Smith as long as we trade down. At some point we need to draft a Dawg or two.

If we draft Ringo we better trade way down.

It would be a dream if Carter slips like Sapp in 1995, but it would also be great if the Falcons could work out a trade and some how get both Ringo and Nolan.

I would then take Darnell Wright in the 3rd round and then get Dorian Thompson-Robinson if he will be available in the 5th round.

Whether it be Stroud or DTR, Falcons still need to add another young QB in 2023 to hedge there bets on the franchise QB search moving forward.

Flacco or Dalton would also be a fine mentor for Ridder and the rest of the young guys.

Anytime a veteran QB is there to mentor they seem to take over once the young QB has a few bad games.
