Some people on our board write as if they think Moody is one of the top 40 defenders in the 6’ 5” to 6’ 7” hight range but I don’t think Moody is such a good defender.

He's closer to the top 40 than Klay is

I would trade Moody and Payton and 2 1sts for a fast healthy top 10 defender in the 6’ 3 to 6’ 6” height range who can contain the dribbles of point guards and off guards. Tha theoretical player plus replacing Trayce with a 6’ 11” 2 inch taller version of Trayce would complete our team.

Klay would still play but would play less.

Shouldn't need all of that for a Bruce Brown or Alex Caruso but I like it.

A Curry/JK/BB or AC/Wiggins/Dray lineup probably works. Though really we should be giving Moody a shot at it. Though 2 games before the trade deadline means we probably don't and we just roll with what we have. I mean really i do think our problems can be solved if Kerr was able to manage the lineups and egos better.

Well lucky for you, you just described two players on the same team that match the salaries of Moody and Payton

Moody / GP2 for Claxton / Dennis Smith Jr

Okay maybe not quite, DSJ is the same size as GP2, but he is an elite perimeter defender.

DSJ was gonna be one of those guys I wanted to try and get in the offseason, but he might be getting himself a multiyear contract now. Being in the NY market has given him some limelight
