If kerr can move a guy like klay thompson, with whom he has a long history together to a bench role, I don't see any reason why kerr wouldn't have any trouble relegating Paul to a 25 minute per game role.
I think kerr has been awoken to the fact that kuminga, green, podz, curry, and wiggins is our best lineup, seeing how just last night most of them were +23 or greater against a lebronless lakers team.
Paul still holds value as a primary ball handler with the 2nd team. However I agree with most posters here, you want to severely limit the amount of minutes he plays with curry to the the bare minimum.

I will wait until the end of the season to declare whether or not it was ruined.

I wasn't expecting a championship, but a better playoff run than last year. It's still possible.

He was actually playing pretty well when he got injured, was shooting better.

His main value is to get some productivity out of the second unit.

That means no more minutes for Quinones, who has no business getting minutes.

I hope he reignites Saric. Saric has been playing bad lately. But both Saric and CP3 cannot give the effort the team has been giving these days.

This is true.

Q will still get minutes. I have no idea how Kerr will do it, but he will. Maybe Steve will find a loophole in the rules, allowing Moody to play anti-minutes, therefore generating more minutes for Q.

CP3 available against Wizards. My guess is we stick to same starters despite the rough one against Denver...

Steph, Podz, Wiggins, Kuminga, Dray

Then go with a 2nd unit of:

CP3, GP2, Klay, Saric, Loon

Deep rotation:

Trayce, Lester, Moody

Me personally, I'd bump Trayce and Moody up over Saric and Loon... but we know that isn't happening. I'd also love to see the guard overlap be GP2 getting more run with Steph... but again, the worry is its CP3/Klay coming in quickly for some overlap minutes with Steph and Dray. We shall see.

That’s fine for some matchups (the Wizards included) but I think an alternate lineup should be rolled out for teams where it makes sense, like Denver. Where Dray isn’t technically the C, even though he may guard the C

There should only be 3 players that close no matter what. Steph/wigs/dray the last 2 should be based on who’s playing well.

I do get Kerr's desire to go small... Curry and Dray obvious guys to close with. CP3? ya of course he's a guy you'd want to close with. GP2 for defense? Yup. Podz as an all-around IQ connector? Yup. Wiggins as a iso stopper? Yup. Thats 6 guys I'd want on the floor and they are all smaller than 6'7 lol

I think one issue we have with our top lineups is they thrive in the open run of play. Yet closing out halves we tend to start playing against the clock and going against those lineups strengths. If we have a lead with 4 minutes left and it feels like a handful of stops gets the job done.. especially if on offense we are mostly in the half court... probably should go to something more like Steph, GP2, Wiggins, Dray, Loon and just run Steph/Dray PnR and live with the results.

Looks like Chris Paul helps the Warriors a bit.

Speaking of which, who’s the backup point guard tomorrow? Steph and Podz both questionable. No CoJo.

Q?
