Kerr is still reminiscing about when saric + cp3 used to be great offence. Saric is not good against a physical team.

This team obviously isn't good enough to get away with it anymore. And yet, Kerr never even mentions it. Just like he never talks about defense.

Criminal.

It's almost too late isn't it?

Don't be shocked if nothing happens at all. They'll wait and wait and at the deadline, they'll be so far under .500, they can justify doing nothing.

We all know this team needed a shake up weeks ago. So hard to even keep watching this team.

Yup and they played terrible transition defense one time and gave up a layup and Jenkins called a TO to correct it

Draymond back and the team returns to fouling and TO machine. Not a coincidence. They just don’t fit well on offense or defense with him.

Kerr has done a poor job of holding players accountable. Everyone sends to be willing or allowed to go the bench.

Even this game. Steph was sloppy in the 4th, kerr pulled him for a few minutes.

Dray came off the bench.
Loon got his limits reduced.
Wiggins was sat for most of the 4th.

You know who wasn't? Klay. No effort on either side of the ball.

Fully expect trades soon. Probably just salary dumping to save tax money. Can’t pay 500M to be a bottom 10 team.

I hate Kerr for how’s he has made me dislike Klay. If he was just playing 15-20 mpg off the bench, I’d be fine. And let him play more when he is on and/or defensively engaged.

I thought dray was fine. He and wiggins were easily the 2 best defensive players on the floor.

Its the other 3 guys that were the problems on defense.

Did Klay do anything late in the game? Seemed like his counting stats didn’t change after early 3rd quarter.

It’s not Draymond specifically. He is just not on the same page with the other guys.

Steph this season has become one of the worst defenders in the entire league and because of that the whole team has to overcompensate for his lack of closeouts, being lost ofball, none factor onball and his terrible fouling. It has just contributed to the overral fall off of the team defense this year, along with Looney and Klay being ****, GP2 and Dray being absent on the floor and Wiggins just coasting every night

His first game back in a few weeks.

There were a few instances, especially defensively where he was excellent help.

Offensively, Jk is a weird fit with him. Jk wants to iso every possession and dray needs to be in a ball moving system.

So we can’t defend their 19 year old two way.

Correct. Which is why you can't have Steph and Klay having large minutes since they both suck defensively.

Read on Twitter

We've seen this time and time again

This team simply can't defend with more than 1 low bbiq defender on the floor.

When klay was out, we were still a great defensive team with poole starting.

Klay and poole played together in short offensive bursts when klay came back. And we rode steph and that defense to another ring.

This year, kerr is playing multiple low iq, bad defenders on the floor together. The system is fine, it's the pieces that kerr is inserting into the system is the problem.

klay, jk, and saric. They simply can't make the reads to switch, help, nor recover at all.

Jk is strictly an on ball defender who is poor off ball and in transition.
Klay and saric are washed, but we need their floor spacing.

Steph is getting hunted alot more than he's ever been and kerr is hanging him out to dry. He's using up waaaay too much energy than he should on the defensive end. And now we are seeing his focus on offense feeling the brunt of it.

Kerr has yet to prioritize defense the past 2 years and this is the result.

And it's really why for the long haul you should get rid of one or the other. Moody is so much better than Klay defensively it's not even funny. But as we all know, Kerr prefers not to play him (even when he is healthy).
