[MERGED] Warriors hire Mark Jackson (pg 37)

Post#1 » by Motivated-Baron » Sun May 8, 2011 10:07 pm

edit: I'm just going to plop everything in here...

Hey everyone.. I know, I'm new here so I'm gonna be flamed. But believe it or not, I personally know both Brown and Casey's agent (who's the same agent for D'antoni, Karl, Stotts, Carlisle, etc) whose office I've worked in, located in SF. I'm told that right now these two are the top candidates.

Just wanna know what you guys think about these two with our current roster?

Don't know anything about Casey but whats the difference between him and Smart?

Loosing record with Wolves vs loosing record with Ws as head coach
Assistant coach to G.Karl and N.Mcmillan vs Assistant coach to Nellie and B. Knight

hope they know what they are doing

Casey took a ragtag Minny team and got them to .500. Id definitely prefer him of the two coaches.

Hearing that an agent's two clients are the top candidates, from their agency, isn't really sourced news. More like forced optimism.

I like Casey, but Brown strikes me as another Smart. Fine as an assistant but HC is just too much responsibility for him.

Between the two I'd rather have Casey.

yeah, I prefer Casey as well. But I wouldn't mind Brown, he's defense first and the Cavs were a great defensive team. So at least smallball would die.

I don't think Casey's a very good coach. I'd prefer Brown for the short term (3 year deal to get us to respectability which I think he'd do).

Yeah give me a player who was pre traded before going to Boston. Anybody could have won 20-20 win a healthy Garnett. Casey stay where you at

I don't think they are the top candidates. The agency could be saying that to increase their market for other teams to get nervous and offer those coaches more etc, but I think their logical top choice is Oakland native Brian Shaw if I'm not mistaken.

I also heard rumors of Mike Brown wanting the Warriors job but being linked elsewhere.

I would lean towards Casey between the two, but neither really excite me.

I think Smart is as good of a coach as Mike Brown.

Is there a time frame for when GSW will start interviewing candidates?

Shaw can keep his triangle offense in LA. It wont here in Oakland. Just look at Rambis and his horrid Minny teams.

The triangle is confusing and there are current Lakers who say it confuses them still.

I like the Mavericks style that has been fine tuned by Carlisle much better.

They both require players that fit the key roles.
