Bogut Watch - now with AdonalFoyle4Prez's poll

Moderators: Sleepy51, Chris Porter's Hair, floppymoose

What will eventually become of Bogut this season?

Yes, he will come to play, just not right now. Just give him maybe 1-3 months to fully recover...

What was the "misinformation" that I gave?
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

I'm hoping he's back by March 1/post All-Star Break. That would give him a good 2 months to back the kinks worked out in the ankle that are inevitable after so long away and to get into game shape by the playoffs.

Best way for most athletes to work the kinks out is playing.. that's why usually athletes don't come back at 100%, they work their way back to it

Hate to show bad news like this, but it seems like we gave away more than we ever knew last year:

Yes. Now the whole world knows Monta is a nut job. I can't believe FSW even bothered showing that.

Probably brainwashed a few fans thinking we have Wade minus wins lol. So yea it probably worked out well.

I usually don't like when players compare themselves to other great players, but in this case it's actually a decent comparison. I've always called Monta the Poor Man's D-Wade. They do have similar skillsets, but not the same notoriety. One plays in Miami, one played in the obscurity that is Golden State & now the abyss that are the Bucks. One Man Fastbreak vs Flash! If Monta played with Shaq or LeBron, he'd probably have rings too.

Guys we already knew how confident Monta was about himself...

While Rolling Stone recently declared Kevin Durant better than Kobe Bryant(notes), Warriors guard Monta Ellis(notes) has his own opinion on who should be ranked as the NBA’s three best players.

“I’m going to say LeBron James,” Ellis said recently. “He can do it all, pass, score, defend, block shots. No. 2, I would have to say, me. I can do a whole lot of things: defend, score, make passes, do whatever I need to do.

“No. 1, I’d say Kobe Bryant. There isn’t one player that can stop Kobe one-on-one. He has a lot of stuff. He can defend. And of course, he won four championships.”

One major difference between the two, dwade paid the refs. He gets invisible fouls while monta gets no calls. Wade could not win without Shaq or lebron.

When he does return, how from here does anyone think the Wariors will announce it... Will it be he just turns up dressed at a game & plays or will they build it up or any other way? Off the bench this time around.. any insights?

I think we'll hear nothing for some time more and then one day he will pratice and play shortly after it. I would predict his return for February.

He has previously returned from injury via a couple of games on the bench, and I don't think it'd phase him. It'd probably be good for his confidence to beat up on a couple of backups as he eases back in.

Kawakami speculated that he might be brought back with 20 games left in the season so that he could get acclomated with the team, but still take a bunch of time....one of the better takes he's had in some time.

I can't help but think that maybe he needs a clean out operation much like Steph had this last time. Or something similar. Whatever Steph had this last time clearly did the trick. Maybe something like that would heal faster for Bogut and eliminate the pain.

I think if the Warriors lose 3 in a row Bogut news will come from the FO to attempt to raise spirits.

I'm concerned....what was supposed to be a rest for 7-10 days has been ...what...a month and half??? And he still wanting to feel just right? And now the question is "will you miss the entire season?"

IMO, at this point, the player and doctor would know if something is healing or if it's going to take yet another surgery....

But...hopefully this is just a winning streak that allows a complete over kill on recovery.
