that we really look better without Lee on the floor? I feel like the distribution of shots is better and the defense is better.

I'm hoping the front office is noticing this and already thinking of deals.

Bogut HAD to be involved more on offense, if this is what it took then I guess this is what it took.

Not for nothing but I've been saying the entire season you'd be better without Lee

Well, Carl Landry certainly provides us much of what DLee provides, so we don't see that much a drop off in terms of playing big with Bogut-Landry.

That said, the Nugget's defense has been ATROCIOUS this series. If we manage to advance we'll see how things look with a smarter, bigger, slower, more disciplined Spurs team. Personally, I like like DLee, I just think Jackson has a tendency to lean on him too much, probably because DLee is the big money man.

However, with DLee out certainly our defense is better. Our guys 1-4 can all switch off with ease and Bogut just has to worry about protecting the rim.

I wouldn't say we're a better team without Lee as much as Bogut got healthy at the right time and has a bigger impact on the team.

What's kinda funny, is that without Lee in the game we have been lethal on offense, which is the only side of the floor he can impact.

To be fair, I do think he brings some things to the table. He does help in the half court offense when it stalls since he can create pretty easily. But yeah, he's a detriment in so many others ways I really don't give a ****. :lol:

It really does make you think, especially because Lee seems to be a guy really concerned about his stats while Bogut couldn't care less. Look at tonight's game, his line was something like 12-5-2 with a couple blocks but he was the entire reason we played so well in the first half.

I think people are deluding themselves if they think this kind of shooting is the new norm. These last 3 games have had exceptional shooting as well as pretty weak defense from the Nuggets. Lee brings things on the offensive side of the floor and I for one wish he was healthy against the Spurs.

It's not that simple. GS's been helped by Denver's issues. Gallo's out, Koufos is struggling and McGee just isn't that good, leaving Denver without enough good bigs to hurt a small-ball lineup.

Bogut playing his best ball of the season helps a lot as well. Lee had been playing a significant chunk of minutes at C with Bogut limited or out entirely. Bogut playing well can cover those minutes without a drop-off, and with Denver's post limitations Barnes can effectively cover the PF minutes he was playing.

It does clearly put to rest the "Who's the best player on GSW - Curry or Lee?" debate. And opens up some, "is it worth moving Lee for 2014 cap space?" questions.

I don't think they are better without Lee. But they had definitely gotten too comfortable with it always being Steph/Klay/Lee on offense. Next year, I don't think they'll just go back to playing the same roles they had in the regular season.

Against a small team and where Landry's hitting at a high rate. Their bigs are unimpressive, stupid, or injured. Matchups, guys.

Its about match ups better shooting teams would exploit VS scrambling zone. But being Lee less better defenders in Dramond and Festus play more and Barnes bumps up as third offensive option that is t he future. Lee as part of a sign and trade in 2014 or part of Pau Gasol three way would be what I would want.

Lee won't be going anywhere unless he says he wants out. He's part of the fabric of this club and will be welcomed back with open arms by everyone. The difference will be that he'll have cap in hand and ask very nicely if he can play in THEIR team

Denver is 6'8" 225 at both PF and C, and one of them is playing on a bad ankle. They are also missing their best scorer/shooter.

I'm loving this right now, but a 2 PG lineup with Barnes at PF will only work against so many teams.
