Jackson 'Insider Information'

Post#1 » by and1GS » Wed May 1, 2013 3:12 am

I'll post the link to MJ's presser when it goes up, but whoa he said a lot of interesting things. The normal coach stuff saying the other team was setting illegal screens yadda yadda but he also said he had 'inside information' that the Nuggets were actively trying to take Curry out...namely at his ankle. He cited a screen around the free throw line in the first quarter then peaced out.

Anybody think there is validity to this? Or is it just a case of a coach having his player's back?

UPDATE: Steph was interviewed as well on this, here's the partial Kawakaze transcript - http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawakami/2 ... back-down/

Karl is a dirty coach. I could definitely see him getting his Cobra Kai on.

If true, I want Karl and anyone else who complied with him to be suspended immediately and all their draft picks for the next couple of years removed. Seems harsh, but this is just like the Saints bounties, but much worse as basketball is a non contact sport.

TNT's production crew is awful, but i just rewatched the first couple of plays, but it looks like Faried was putting the hits on curry. Probably why our bigs were singling out Faried for payback.

Did anyone happen to watch the CSN feed? Did they show anything that TNT didn't?

Like how another force slams him down to the ground after the initial bogut push.

Its a flagrant foul when the refs don't want you to win the game.

I didn't have a problem with the 2 flagrant calls, they were both pretty legit even if Farried embellished a little bit. But they seemed to be (the Bogut one definitely was) in retaliation to Farried's dirty play, probably wouldn't have happened if the officials were worth a damn.

I didn't think either was a flagrant, both obvious fouls that Faried wasn't acting on IMO, but come on man these are adults playing a physical sport. if you wanna board down low you should expect to get tossed around.

Here's one of the plays, you be the judge.

Obviously a calculated move by Faried...not exactly trying to headhunt Steph though.

EDIT: for some reason the youtube embedding won't work for me...

I didn't see the game, just saw the score at halftime and final and was glad it was close. But seeing this INSTANTLY got me steamed. That's just dirty. I hope Curry comes back next game and drops 40 on them. And Faried calling us dirty. Kettle, Pot, Pot, Kettle.

Faried tried to trip him in the first one, that's completely dirty and not basketball related at all. The second one is a play on.

Denver was in an elimination game and still possibly in for another 1st round exit.

What else did you expect them to pull out? As long as the refs don't call it they're going to do it.

Remember Game 4 when a Denver player (Chandler I think?) tried push Bogut into another player to get the call on Bogut?

Totally disagree with you. Everyone on the planet knows Steph's weak point is his ankles, so when you intentionally go after his ankles, you are trying to take him out. Faried is a piece of crap. Also, if you are going to call the shove by Bogut a flagrant, you also have to call Faried raking Barnes on the shoulder a flagrant, and they did not.
