Bogut is so much more than his stats show and having him is great, he fits better than maybe any Center there is right now and better than most Centers in nba history. Curry, Klay and the other shooters on the team need a Center that doesn't look to score much and sets good screens and passes well. Bogut is that and his playing style doesn't rely on athleticism so he should be able to play at his current level to at least until he's 35/36 years old.

14 million or more?

He won't get more than 6 mil maybe 7.5 tops from any team/GM who knows a thing or two about basketball at this level and has only seem a sample size of his play thus far. He has a good skill set at one thing like a specialist (like Mcgee is a specialist at blocking but not much else). He hasn't come close to being an reliable role player yet but has good potential like many other players. I am going to assume you are watching too many highlight reels of Whiteside and got carried away, it happens...

Whiteside can play. He can be a rim protector, rebounder and shooter. He can beat out Bogut now imo. I'm not sure how much he'll get based on the new CBA, but teams will want him. Hope GSW will be in the running. The bad news is he won't be UFA until 2016. The Ws play the cap right, then they can make an offer.

Whiteside, if he plays like he has this season next season, will get paid at least 14 million a year and that's bound to be minimum. Our FO will find it hard to get him but perhaps a trade this offseason for him will do, which is itself some sort of a risk if Whiteside doesn't continue at the level he has been at. Something like Ezeli for Whiteside and fillers but Miami likely will just keep him and try to convince him to stay there.

Fes is injured prone and basically our mop up player once the game is out of hand, if even that yet you think the Heat might consider trading Whiteside + filler for him?

Then again, lopsided looney offers from fans are not uncommon, so carry on....

Not that the Warriors will make a play for him (again) but isn't DeAndre Jordan a FA again soon?

Certainly the Clippers can afford the luxury tax but will they pay it to keep him? I presume they'd have to, because Paul and Griffin have to be on max contracts or close to it.

it's this off season I'm pretty sure, as I remember an article on here saying he was really looking forward to playing the market

Deandre could get a huge contract from an Eastern conference team with cap space. Seriously could end up a Knicks player.

there'd certainly be plenty of missed shots for him to rebound

New York should really try to get him because he'd fit well there. As much as New York has been horrible most of the time for about a decade or so they could become a good team with two or three good additions over the next two years. That would take good FO decision making ......

Celtics fan checking in.
We really like Draymond Green. Just curious if you guys are prepared to lose him? Would you match a max or near max offer? Would a sign and trade for a cheaper player entice you?

The common expectation among us fans is that we're going to match any offer and there's no divergent indication.

You'd have a better chance of trading Sullinger for Lebron and Irving than us giving up Draymond.

Front office comments have led fans to believe Draymond is 100% not going anywhere. I'm one of those fans. Lacob (owner) essentially said he is prepared to go into the tax for next season because he sees no way around it. The reporter than asked "So you will be re-signing Draymond then?" and Lacob said "can't be specific, but we love Draymond and picture him being a Warriors forever" or something along those lines.

He is too crucial to what we do on both ends at the 4 spot.

Do people not want DeAndre here? I think he'd be a perfect fit for us and extend our championship window by years.

Can't afford him anyway and even if we could, we he be a backup, start over Bogut? Also, he'll get at least 15-16 million. He is not a need for us.

He would replace Bogut-plus his salary-and actually be able to play more than 20 mpg.

I am the world's biggest Bogut fan, but the writing is on the wall. He's got about 3 years left in his career, the cap goes way up next year so we can afford a big signing and we're in Curry/Klay's prime. Gotta maximize that because this level of talent may never come through Warrior-land again.

Honestly I think Festus can do what Deandre will be in 3 years. And Festus is a better offensive player.

The other option is to see who's on the radar when Bogut approaches his final year. So basically the timing is off for Deandre.

DeAndre's a free agent this year, I think, and as such we have no money to sign him.

We had no money to sign Iguodala, either...just sayin.

Re: Miley - DeAndre has shown to be impeccably healthy, while Festus has shown...everything but that. FWIW all bigs deteriorate--look at Dwight, former ironman now a tinman--but ones whoa re injury prone usually stay that way unless their minutes are heavily reduced.

I'm not saying Festus can't get healthy, but I am saying the odds are against him. His talent is intriguing, though.
