Finals: Miami vs San Antonio Thread

Should be a great matchup? Can San Antonio beat them? Leonard asked to defend Lebron. Didn't realize it, but Kahwi has a 7'3 wingspan.

Look forward to this years finals and curious to see whether or not the old men from San Antone have one more year left in them. It's amazing we performed so well against them.

I'm surprised the odds heavily favor Miami. With Wade well less than 100% SA's the better team.

Heat in 6. The only two-way team the Spurs played was us, and we would've wrecked them if healthy. If Wade and Bosh are consistent, they win in 4 or 5, but I don't think they will be.

Spurs in 6. The Heat don't rebound nearly enough to keep San Antonio off of the offensive boards, their role-players have been terrible, Wade and Bosh have had trouble throughout the entire playoffs, and a Duncan/Splitter lineup will give Miami fits.

Series will all depend on who can dictate the tempo. If SA can slow the game down + exploit Miami's weakness down low they'll have a really good chance to win.

My heart wants to say San Antonio, but my brain is saying Miami in 6.

Parker vs Chalmers: no contest, all Parker, big mismatch

Green vs Wade (robably one of the most interesting matchups with Wade hobbling, will gReen be able to slow him down the way he impacted Curry?)

Leonard vs Lebron: Probably the key to the whole series, if Leonard can at least neutralize Lebron where he can't take over games like he's done all season, then Miami's in a heap of truble.

Duncan vs Haslem: No contest, look for Haslem to get into foul trouble real early

Splitter vs Bosh: Miami really needs Bosh to make an impact this series. Can Splitter handle him? I don't know. I think it depends on who gets who in foul trouble will be the one to have the best series.

If Leonard can handle Lebron (to some defree) it's looking pretty good for San Antonio imo. San Antonio -n 6 barring any major injuries.

X-factor Spurs: Manu Ginobili. Seems to have a pretty god track record against Wade throughout their careers.

X-factor Heat: Joel Anthony or Chris Anderson - someone going to have to handle Dncan when Haslem gets in foul trouble. Anderson seems to be playing well.

With that being said, I just hope for a good series. Lebron is going to need some help badly. The way San Antonio dismantled Memphis showed they are not effing around. They were pretty injured versus us as well which is why our series was somewhat close. The Spurs are fully rested now and have gotten the most rest these playoffs. Should be a good series...

Big time cheering for Spurs. This is the ultimate matchup of glamor franchise vs. smaller market hardhat team franchise. Spurs will win this. Miami is a run on turnovers team. On paper a good shooting team...but reality is that Ray Allen is a shadow of former self....and Miami's outside shooting is pretty awful. So it's a team with no really inside game...no true outside shooting team against a team that is very good defensively.

Wade is tired...and only looked good against Inidanna in game 7 as they took a collective dump.

Spurs win by an average of 10 at home and squeeze out wins at Miami.

Heat in 6. Expect a massive turnaround from Bosh in this series, book it.

Last year the athletic perimeter players of the Thunder exposed the Spurs a bit with their ability to recover and at least make those open shots their ball movement created more difficult. I see Heat being able to have a similar effect. However, San Antonio looks better than last year and Heat look a bit worse at the moment (at least the trio of Lebron Wade and Bosh vs Harden, Westbrook KD.

This is Tim Duncan and Ginobilis last hurrah....I expect Duncan to be huge this series....but the key is Tony Parker...can Chalmers slow him down?
