I'm not sure Oden can defend away from the basket. He'll sink down on everything waiting to get the block. Spo can't play him many minutes if the other team has a decent 1-5 Pick and roll or pick and pop. I think it was Tristan Thompson who blew by him at the free throw line. Oden can't move laterally, although given his injuries i'm not shocked. Good for him though to get back in playing shape and stringing some healthy games together.

Who was it around here that was pimping Gorgui Deng last year hard? It was either flop or MIley IIRC. FIrst person since Shaq to have double-doubles in first 6 starts.

Congrats to the NW football players in winning their bid to Unionize. This is a big first step in changing and hopefully destroying the NCAA.

FTR, I don't actually want college athletes to be paid. The pro sports leagues need to finance their own semi-pro developmental systems. Corrupting and exploiting the college environment and damaging the academic mission of our universities is a perverse alliance that needs to come to an end. If we get the non-student one-and-done semi-pro athletes out of the system, the TV money will follow.

What I want is for semi-pro athletes to abandon the college environment for a more suitable career development path so that STUDENT athletes can take advantage of scholarships to complete their educations. Scholarships should be directly tied to graduation rates. If you aren't graduating 50% of your players your program should loose 50% of it's scholarships until you do.

You never want to cheer about another guy getting injured, but I did woohoo a little.

Yeah, you never want to cheer for an injury to anyone regardless of your disdain for them or their team.

That being said...

Not necessarily out for the season, but yeah this definitely makes Houston a much easier out.

I'm just glad we don't have to worry about him going for Curry's knees in the playoffs. Still don't think that Westbrook thing was accidental.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Article on here says Rubio wants 10 million for his next contract, says he isn't worth it. He seems pretty Jason Kidd like, being allround. Think he is worth it.

Sad that that's the first highlight reel we've seen Udope in since he left us. I miss that goober.

Last two games for Mavs....Dallas vs Pheonix.....Dallas vs Memphis.

Nice to have all three of those teams knocking each other off down the stretch :)

Dallas is stepping up against the Clips in LA though. Thought they'd be the team to miss out.

Ugh...Kings...edged out with 7 seconds left...sigh. Portland wins. Houston falling....just a game up on Portland. And Memphis beating the heat. Warriors can't afford to lose more than two games or it could get dicey! Let's hope they beat Portland....putting them in the 5th spot against an fragile Houston team.
