Kind of cool to see Curry as the 3rd best scorer. Not sure of the validity of it but here's a link to the formula.

I'm unsure why he choose to double the importance of unassisted vs assisted shots, seems like a weight he pulled outta his ass.
Most 4th Quarter Points in Final since 1991
1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5
2000 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5 (61.1% TS)

Some of us have liked Curry from the first. There was a long period where we had to have constant arguments here with Monta-people who hated the fact that Curry was going to become the go-to guy, but it was always obvious to some of us that it had to happen.

I thought he was going to be Jimmer before there was a Jimmmer. Especially after watching him in summer league and like the first month of the season. Once he got used to the speed of the NBA and Nelly turned him loose... I became his biggest fan.

In the draft I wasn't sure if I wanted him or not. In his first preseason, I was very nervous about him. He was having trouble with trap double teams in a big way. But by the end of the first season I was convinced he was a future star.

At times i wonder if he would have benefited more as a player if he were to play behind nash a few years.

Curry is already better than nash so he needed no benefits.

Kobe showing Curry some dap. Pretty cool as I don't recall Kobe being too buddy buddy with opponents on the court (in fact quite the opposite)

Maybe this along with his recent statements praising Klay are a sign he wants to come here? I wouldn't mind him as our 6th man if he wouldnt mind taking a 20 million pay cut or so

To this day, I really wish we never broke up that trio of Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond, and Chris Mullin. Let's be thankful our GM is not Don Nelson

But no I didn't think he'd be in the talk for top 5 players in the league but last season you could at least argue the point with a straight face. I loved him at Davidson but wasn't on my radar for us to pick based on Monta being here. Pleasant surprise to say the least.
I thought he was among the best of that draft. I did not assume he'd be THE top shooter, a starting All Star. I also thought Monta could REALLY shine if able to play full time PG.

When Curry was available.. we had to take him. KIt did block Monta a bit. Needless to say.. it worked out. We got a C for Monta and drafted Klay. We dumped Nellie who's various agendas meant we'd wasted several lotto picks.

Nellie LOVES good guards, shooters. Jackson may have not been good coaching offense but for the first time in DECADES....GSW had DEFENSE. So.. Curry is damn good.. and he might yet get even better.
CENSORED... No comment.

Nelson recognized Curry was a potential great, I'll give him that. But many if not most of the rest of his decisions were damn questionable. And I have to differ -- Monta had many chances to be a PG. It's not his nature and he's not a great passer. He's a good passer when he's moving with the ball, driving and pulling defenders, but that's not enough.

And since it wasn't that long ago, someone could probably pull out the Curry draft and Curry vs. Monta discussions of those years here on this site. I stand by everything I said, whatever it was. I loved Monta, but it became clear after watching Curry a while that Monta had to go.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think Curry could dribble and pass at an elite level. He's top 3 in the NBA for both IMO, which is remarkable.

Always knew he's be better than a Jimmer because of how he carried a **** Davidson team, but honestly had 0 idea he'd be anywhere near this good.

Didnt know much of collge basketball, but drafting another PG who can shoot was a positive thing. I had that idea he will replace that kid Ellis as soon as he was drafted. I had no hope/interest for GS after Davis gone, during the Ellis era. I rather watch the Wizards with Jamison and Suns with JRich. I dont know man, Curry is just 100x more lovable than the 170lb tattooed kid.
