Where is the PT going to be for Nunn, Baze, THT with this roster? Don’t understand the Pay cuts to possibly cheerleading a title run.

So Nunn effectively closes the door on any use for the MLE right now.

I'm still not mad at the off-season. Frankly to close it out I wanted Patty Mills and not much else (there are a lot of Oubre/clogging vibes to be considered with a guy like Nunn), that's the only one that hurts. George Hill for the vet-min couldn't hurt.

We have plenty of trade assets if need be as the season progresses. More than happy to watch this roster go to work and start to gel (hopefully Klay is back sooner than later for this to work itself into form).

I agree. They line up, here comes LBJ, points the finger, says "You, you and you, come with me".
Next, the league announces special provision, 25 roster spots for the Lakers.

JFC LAL is straight pillaging FA. A lot of great signings by them.

Surprised more here don’t like Hill in the Livingston roll, different player but could run second unit and play with Steph.

Every offseason, it feels as though there's one set of salary cap rules for the Lakers and another different set of rules for the rest of the leauge.

Welp. This supports the idea that maybe the TPMLE might not be in play.

Glad we didn't pick up Mello. Lakers, IMO, are going to be chit next year. That combination of non-shooter stars all needing the ball is going to be a wreck.

I so hope they re-sign Schroder for the $100M he wants :)

Westbrook/Schroder
Bazemore/Matthews/Ellington/Monk
LeBron/Ariza
AD/Anthony/Morris/THT/Jackson
Gasol/Howard

(assuming they cut McKinnie and re-sign Schroder, Matthews, THT, and Morris)

That's an odd looking and old team.

Let us count the chuckers and players who need the ball ...

Honestly, I hate that team. It looks like LeBron asked for a full reset to only sign up his boys. And those boys do not complement each other. At such a loss with that roster construction. Why do you need that many **** 2/3 tweeners? Is THT starting a the 2 now?

Whatever, could still work. I do like our chances against that team though. Westbrook is not exactly a peak playoff performer.

I guess my main question is...why did Baze feel this was a fit for him? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's gone...but he's one of 7+ SG/SFs on the team now.

They want to do the deal but the Warriors ruined it by taking Kuminga and Moody :)

Not sure if you were responding to me or to that idea in general. I only shared this because some folks in this thread suggested this idea. I honestly have no idea what they’re planning on doing.

That's an enormous stinking check to write. Wiggins lives in Joe Lacob's wallet.

200M tax bill is a pretty good reason to not use the MLE

They added Nunn, so they have to let another one go from last year ... Matthews or Schroder.

I would expect us to be done adding players. Joe and Bob are in Santa Monica now and are telling Steph this is the best we could do.
Most 4th Quarter Points in Final since 1991
1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5
2000 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5 (61.1% TS)
2015 Stephen Curry 10.8 (75.1% TS)
1997 Michael Jordan 10.7 (55.1% TS)
1998 Michael Jordan 10.6 (50.6% TS)
2011 Dirk Nowitzki 10.3 (68.0% TS)

Honestly, three quarters of the team are injury concerns and half the team needs the ball to play the way they normally do, and while several of them WERE good defenders, defense tends to be something that fades quickly with age.

One thing is sure, a new group of players is going to learn the LeBron way of being a "teammate".
