It is OK. We can bring up Garuba if we need to.

If Kerr is going to insist on playing three small guards then he should at least try the most interesting one featuring three future hall of famers: Steph, CP3, and Spencer.

I don't get why Spencer is getting garbage time minutes but Garuba can't. I'm not even really sure why we're investing anything in another small guard. All of our 2 ways are small guards except Garuba and Garuba can't even sniff the court, yet all of our small 2 way guards are still getting playing time.

1998 Michael Jordan 10.6 (50.6% TS)

Kerr loves his guards since he was one himself. It's like he thinks he was more valuable than the wings on his bulls team.

I mean I get he wants players that can dribble, pass and shoot, but what about rebounding and defending? We got any use for that on this team?

Maybe but I'd like to ask everybody first if Podziemski is a clearly better player than Spencer right now.

The winning window for this team is now. Because of that what I want to see on the team are role players who are at their peak. The age most players reach their theoretical peak is around 27. Thus what I'd I want to see are players who are 27ish. But players at that age are expensive and the team is restricted on that front. In that light Spencer can be looked at as an overlooked value signing.

Of course the above doesn't address the need the team has for bigger players but not much the team has done makes sense regarding that.

If it were at all plausible that Podz is no better than Spencer at this point (which is patently ridiculous) then why on earth would we want or need two of them?

This is the time of year where you toss two ways at guys to keep them around for Santa Cruz next year.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

May I ask how you arrived at that conclusion? For me I just haven't seen enough of Spencer to definitively say he is inferior. As for plausibility, as I alluded to earlier their respective ages suggest it's a plausible conjecture. As for why have both, one for now, one for the future and having positive assets is positive.
