It’s odd bc he’s improving in some defensive areas but his desire to be part of every play when he doesn’t need to be is holding him back from being much better
He's a rookie, I'll take all of his good with his bad this season, as the foundation of what he's about far outweigh's the negatives you point out, IMO. As he gains experience at this level, he'll learn. However, you can't teach that commitment level to everything he does, you either have that effort and energy level or you don't.
I dunno that he will learn, but certainly would rather have a player with too much drive than not enough. But if he's really intent on being the Warriors' version of Scrappy Doo, then he's going to be limiting how good he can really be
People that brash that young tend not to learn humility until they're past their prime. Even if he doesnt learn it, he's still a capable 3rd guard off the bench and at 19, thats a win
