Let’s just have moody be a regular in the rotation and not just because of injury.

I appreciate that he plays defense, hustles, and contributes every time he's given a chance. I actually loved that lineup in the 4th with TJD, Green, Moody, GP2, and Curry.

If Klay isn't going to start, I'd let this guy be the 2 guard next to Curry.

Absolutely. The more crucial thing imo is to finish with him, particularly with a lead, if Klay and to a lesser extent CP3 can bring any defense at all now it is certainly not when tired at the end of a game. There is also a facet of the game called rebounding. I am not sure he wouldn’t offer more offensively than Klay as well if given regular minutes to get his shooting stroke grooved, he would fairly definitely be more judicious in his shot selection than/refrain from chucking like current Klay.

Anybody who isn't an imbecile or losing their marbles knows that Moody should be starting.

Its not even about Moody starting, its about Kerrs hypocrisy. He cant continue to spout meritocracy, yet only penalize the same 3 players (Loon, Moody, and Wiggins). Those are the only 3 on this team Kerr isnt afraid to bench regardless of how they are playing.

Moody absolutey deserved to close tonight. He was better than Klay in every facet of the game. Wiggins was still better than Klay tonight, but he deserved not to close and only got 20 minutes. Klay got 30 in his first game back and then closed when we had a 11 pt lead only to watch it dwindle to 2 as soon as he checked in for Moody. Its a disgrace what Kerr is doing.

Sad that he needs multiple injuries to get a chance. I guess he needs to pay those dues.

Like Podz.

Oh yea I’m on the start moody train. But we all know when jk is healthy moody is probably out of the rotation again.

Moody w/ consistent minutes is a fringe all star in a couple of years. Never going to happen though.

I saw who Steve had in the game around the 7:00 minute mark and said "Oh, Steve wants to win tonight". Then Klank came in for Moody :banghead:

Steve has to know Moody is a better defender, so why are we taking him out on a night when he's shooting well and Klay isn't? It defies logic. Steve panic'd when we missed a couple and just made things worse.

The hyperbole is getting out of control here, but a fringe all-star? Comon', he had a good game against a really bad team.

And Klay had a bad game against a bad team but Kerr still closed with him.

Moody can defend and rebound, and is at least as good a scorer as CP3 is at this stage in his career. Why on earth would you close with CP3 or Klay ahead of Moody when he has played well particularly with a lead ?.

There has been a more than adequate trial, great as they were Klay and CP3 are not suddenly one night going to metamorphose back into the players they were 5 years ago, those guys are gone. I feel bad about Klay, particularly since his cavalcade of career threatening injuries started when he played on an injured hamstring trying to win another finals series for GSW, of which was making a fair fist, and I will always revere prime Klay, a prime which lasted longer than many, but it is what it is now.

Moses has played at least 20 minutes in 20 games this season. In those games his per36 numbers are 18.5, 6+ rebounds, 1.5 assists on 40% 3FG. They are 12-8 in those games.

In his last 7 games, his per36 numbers are 21 points, 5+ rebounds, 3+ assists on 50% 3FG.

Just play the kid.

This ^

Just play him. His team defence needs a bit of work and I’d love for him to have a couple of dribble moves to keep defenders more honest BUT his commitment to rebounding and taking good shots while mostly playing mistake free is really required when compared to Klay. We just look better.

When you do the school lineup test with our roster, there is no way you’d pick Klay ahead of Curry, Green, Wiggins, Kuminga, GP2, TJD, Podz and Moody.
No way….

We have nothing to lose. Play him Steve!!!!!!

Moody is nowhere near a fringe all star. A fringe all star might have been JP's unsual form in the 21-22 season and he got directly benched for a guy who missed 2 1/2 years and proceeded to be the worst player in the league for 2 months.

What's funny was that a the beginning of the year Moody would replace Klay with the other starters for like 1 or 2 minutes a game. It really seemed like they were grooming him to replace Klay in the starting lineup. Then all hell broke loose and he got booted from the rotation for no reason.

It's like he got blamed for not being able to dig us out of the hole that Klay was digging with the starters in the 1 minute he got to play with the other starters.

Post AS break, minutes for all who might be taking moody minutes

Moody +30 mins 1-0
+20 mins 8-2
-20 mins 4-5

Klay +30 5-3
-30 7-5 + 1-0 when missed game, so 8-5

Wiggs +30 6-1
-30 5-6

Jk +30 4-5
-30 6-3 +3-0 when missed game, so 9-3

Podz +30 4-2
-30 8-5

Moody getting dnps make no sense.

The poster did say in 2 years given minutes. Who knows ?, I don’t. On general principles he would need to show more capacity to be a volume scorer as you rightly say Poole managed in that one season, when and if he got increased minutes.

That post is a red herring in any case, what most people are saying is that he has to be better particularly on the closing squad than Kerr running 4 guard line up, especially when GSW have a lead, rather a different argument.

Moody will be a secret weapon come playoffs. Podz gets short end of the stick in my book - Curry, Klay, CP3, Moody.
