Sadly, Klay playing glory chucker and getting hot may be our best bet.

He’s likely to gun anyway, and Kerr won’t try anything different until we are in a big hole. Kerr is also likely to put the Old Patrol back in to finish, even if the scrubs outplayed them.

So meh.

I imagine Kerr postgame, after a loss, droning on about going with what had been working.

Except that “it” hadn’t been working against good teams all season.

Part of me just wants for the Kings to put us out of our misery. We are going nowhere this season.

And there is this one other part - the naive one, who still hopes for something, even if the reason, the logic and the statistics points in the opposite direction.

I have no reason to think they will play two smart, disciplined sudden death games in a row, so I doubt they make the playoffs.

If they do, however, they might make a dark horse run.

OKC is probably the best first round matchup for us. Next would be LAC or Dallas. Denver and Minnesota are both in the other bracket.

But I don’t expect the Dubs to get past the playin.

Kings without Huerter and Monk are not good enough even at home. But our coaching staff has a fetish for small lineups so it will be tough.

GPII out. Moody in?

I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

You’re funny. He gave Moses 17 minutes in the Utah game, with Steph, Dray, and GP2 out.

If it was a seven game series, he’d realize he needed Moses. But not until game 3.

Ironic that the Dubs haven’t lost a game where Klay was out.

Seriously, what's wrong with him now? I could have sworn we have two ELIMINATION games ahead of us.

I always think of Podz as steel wool, well GPII = cotton wool.

Somebody in this franchise needs to stop being so precautionary, realise the situation and just grow a pair.

This is yet another reason I wanted Moody ahead of GPII in the rotation. What good is GPII when time and time again you simply can't count on him being available when it matters most?

GP2 barely played this season (44 games @ 15 min). There just isn't a ton of minutes to take from GP2. The moody minutes should have come from Podz, Wigs, JK, and Klay. Take 2 minutes from each of them and all of a sudden, Moody's 17 mpg become 25.

I understand the board wants moody to take ALL of Klay's minutes, but Kerr disagrees. After seeing MM play extended stretches in recent weeks, I would have to agree with Steve.

Sac is using an 8 man rotation.

Starters
Fox
Ellis
Murray
Barnes
Sabonis

Bench
Lyles
Mitchell
Len

Brown will blitz steph with a heavy dose of fox, Ellis, Mitchell. That's 3 defensive guards who are fast. It's a match up problem if we go small, just too much speed. Kerrwas spamming wiggins off ball screens last game, I think this was kerr testing a counter for whatever plan brown has for steph.

Defensively, we don't want dray on sabonis to start. We need him out of foul trouble and be able to roam in order to help on fox.

Wiggins on fox
Steph on Ellis
Klay on Murray
Dray on Barnes
Tjd on sabonis

Closing is my biggest concern with kerr likely playing steph, klay, cp3, dray and one of (wiggins, jk, tjd, or even loon) That small ball closing reio has hurt us all year with its inability to rebound and defend. Kings can put out a small, but more athletic and faster counter or go longer with some shooters in Lyle and vez.

The weird thing for this Warriors post-season is it seems very possible the first-year #19 and #57 picks will play a larger role than the third-year #7 and #14 picks will.

Let's hope they get 18 wins while figuring that out.

Nice breakdown!

I feel Len and Lyles kill us a lot in the 2nd unit. Len will grab offensive boards and make hustle plays that drain the Warriors and Lyles will hit a bunch of 3s to kill a lead or extend a lead. Kerr can't be sluggish with his 2nd units
