4th and 1 at Philly 26. Cam had the back coming out of the backfield for an easy 1st, but went deep to Cotchery which was incomplete. Horrible awareness by Cam. Just horrible.

Forced a punt, and Cam throws a pick 6. Now 31-7. Good night. I am done with this game. Not worth my time watching. Bad pass by Cam.

Really have to wonder if the Panthers will give a long term big contract to Cam. He has regressed. I Not something I can put on the newness of the receiving corp. He is just making bad throws and using bad judgment. If our pick is high enough, I can see us going QB with our 1st if someone like Mariotta if available. Cam may be playing himself out of our Franchise QB role. I would never have thought that possible after last season.

Panthers in Philly territory and try to make something happen. Cam gets pick #3. :banghead:

I have been his biggest defender ever since he was drafted. But I am losing faith in him right now. And when you see him out there, it seems he has lost faith in himself. And that is a future killer in the NFL.

Serious Question.

If we get a really good pick (pretty likely) and Marcus Mariota is there...do we pick him and trade Cam for a kings ransom?

The Panthers o line has been dreadful, and honestly Cam hasn't looked healthy all season. I'm not ready to give up on him just yet...sure up the line, add a couple more explosive players (preferably in that backfield), and let Cam rehab in the offseason.

I feel they will fire all the coaches. Shula needs to go but the rest are not at fault here. No matter who you choose nobody could win with the group of players they were given this year.

Yes, we need an O line. Yes, we could use another good young WR to play alongside Benjamin. Secondary can use an upgrade also. Are we happy with Kony taking the place of the Kracken, assuming the Kracken is done here? But my point about Cam is simple. We have the rest of this season to decide if he is our franchise QB. We either pay him a ton of money, or we likely see him go. So IF Mariotta is available, I think the Panthers take him and Cam is gone. If you have a franchise QB, you are OK. If not, you do not pass on one when he is there for the taking. Nothing worse than having all the other pieces, but no QB to get you over the top.

Cam has a ton of talent, but he also has some serious flaws. He fumbles way too often, and his decision making is seriously poor at the most inopportune times. His tendency to throw high often leads to more INT's. But then at times he makes great passes. Making this call will be a gut wrenching decision. Right now, Cam has work to do if he is going to remain a Panther.

I wouldn't let Cam walk. His play has been uninspiring most of this season but until week 5 or 6 he didn't look healthy at all and was having trouble moving around, he's looked better physically as the season has gone on but it would be hard for any QB to look decent behind this O line. Yes he makes some poor decisions with the ball but I have to think some of that falls on the offensive line as well, because Cam knows he only has a second or two before he's getting smacked, and for a guy who already takes more hits than any QB in the league that can't be a good feeling.

I think Cam showed us last year that he knows how to take care of the football and take chances when the opportunity presents itself, I would rather use our pick on a stud OT. Cam is back to trying to do too much like he often was in year 2 because he doesnt have enough help.

The defense deserves some blame too. They've been getting torched so bad in recent weeks that Cam and the rest of the offense probably feels pressure to put up 7 points every single possession just to keep up.

But the issue with Cam is that we are at the point where we are going to have to offer him a long term contract in the range of at least $15 mil/year. Are you confident enough in him to pay him that for 4 - 6 years and accept that he is our QB and we will not be drafting another potential franchise QB during that time? My point is that we do not have to make that decision today. Cam has the rest of this season to show us what he can do. But if he plays the rest of the year like he has played to date, then my answer would be to NOT offer him the money he seeks. It is up to him to prove he is worth it.

As long as we finish with around the 11th pick then the LT from Iowa should be there but I say go all in and tank for Gurley or Cooper.

I would love to get Cooper, we would finally have 2 good young WR's, We can draft a few OL later in the draft.

Cooper will be a tremendous WR in the NFL. He and Benjamin together would make just about any NFL QB look good. But for sure we will need to address the OL either by draft of FA. But we are still going to have to deal with the Cap situation that our prior GM got us into, so I do not think we will be able to get a quality OL via FA. Would have to be the 1st or 2nd round pick. But my goodness, would be hard to pass up Cooper.

This team is so bad. Getting whipped by a 3-6 Falcon team in our own yard. They are winning 16-3. The 3rd qtr is about to end and we have 151 yards so far. Cam has throw n a couple more INT's and looks bad. Two fights already as the bad blood boils. Defense forced a TO in Panther territory. Can this offense redeem itself? Play calling has been horrific with some of the most inane calls on 3rd and short. Do not know what this team is doing. Crowd boos and deservedly so. But if we can find a way to score and make this a 1 score game, there is hope.
