Week 1 - Bears vs Packers: Go Mack Go!

Post#1 » by Susan » Tue Sep 4, 2018 12:43 pm

I fully expect this team to be a little bit off for the first few weeks but this season is going to be fun!

We're 7.5 point underdogs but I think this game is going to be hard fought and close. Really looking forward to seeing our offense and new defensive weapons on full display!

Packer fans trying reconcile not getting Mack and poo pooing the Bears transaction with the Raiders. Even saying that Mack had no real impact on the Raiders defense. Him not having any help wasn't highlighted nor was the cast he has to play with here which was ranked Top 10 last year. What were the packers ranked on defense last season like 26th? Also they failed to account for our DC who Mack will be playing for and was someone they wanted to hire for their DC but couldn't. It'll be very interesting to see what theyll say once Rodgers gets smooshed by Khalil or someone else freed up by Khalil's presence on the field.

Not sure who I'm looking forward to seeing the most outside of Mack.

Eddie Jackson with a pass rush in front of him?
Jordan Howard with a offensive system in place?
Tarik Cohen with Nagy drawing up plays for him?
Anthony Miller?
Mitch with all of these weapons?
Roquan with Mack, Hicks and Danny T taking all of the pressure off of him?
Leonard with teams scheming for Mack?

Eeeexactly. Years long ceiling on hope is smashed.

31-28 Bears.

Money Mitch w 2 TDs and 1 Pick.
Bears get pressure and two turnovers.

I think we will start out 3-1. All winnable games.

They wanted Fangio and struck out. Wanted Fuller and struck out. Wanted Mack and they struck out.

Each time Packers fans made some sort of excuse.

Still will be wise to run the ball a good deal. Time of possession and keeping Rodgers on the sideline are always important keys to the game.

here is Khalil going against the packers back in 2014.
https://youtu.be/E5moqDu8cf0

On NFL access James jones said packers will send an enforcer to knock Khalil down on the line when the ball is snapped. Its a tech they used on Peppers when he played for the Bears. Didnt see that being used in this clip tho.

One less receiver for A-Rod and single coverage for Leonard and Hicks. Let's freaking go.

I wonder if the defense will be a bit unsettled early on. Hopefully the Bears O' gets them out to a lead so that they won't need to think too much.

Theres probably going to be some early jitters on both sides of the ball. Lots of new moving parts and we are in enemy territory. Hopefull that doesn't cost us too much early till things settle down. Mabe we can catch them being sloppy early and capitalize on it.

Wish it was a noon game. Sunday is gonna be one long day.

Mack still runs through them all and gets to the QB.

The Bears can't win, but there are alternatives!
.....I have no idea what that means.

I'm pretty pumped too.

Prediction. Bears win.

28-24 on late 4th Q TD drive and pass from Mitch.
