Trubisky first Bears QB with 5 TD passes in a half ever.
Also first 5TD game by a Bears QB since... Luckman's 7 in 1943? I did some digging, couldn't find anyone else.

Just an unbelievable half. Bears need to carry this into the next game. Don't let off the gas here in the 2nd half either. Stupid penalty by Hicks pushing a ref. He's gone for the game and probably the next game, which really sucks.

Remarkable. I know TB pass D is not good, but so much of being good comes from gaining confidence for a young QB... this is just what the doctor ordered for Mitch. I expect him and offense to really roll from here on.

Lets see him get 8. He could use the confidence being the sole single game record holder
I'm only half joking

Kind of sucks to have a bye when you just get cooking like this... rather have it later on when you REALLY need to guys some rest.

Yeah i thought the same. Super early. Mabe it'll help Mitch learn the offense more though.

Its like your passenger side mirror "objects are closer than they appear" .. I believe the same goes for Mitch and his development in this offense.

He's close.

This week I hope to see quicker reads and plenty of deep balls.

Axxo wrote:Couple weeks ago on locked on Bears podcast Mark Schofield shared his opinion on evaluating QBs. He said they should be getting better each game but you look at it in 4 game segments. If by game 4 he doesn't show some type of break through improvement then that is where his development pace would be considered below average and legitimate concern is warranted.
Does this game help with some of your concerns?

God, I do love undramatic Bears victories.

Khalil Mack has really changed the face of this franchise. Changed everything. I don't think one player has had this much impact on a football team in a long time.

My second biggest takeaway from todays game was Cohen getting RB1 snaps. Probably match up related but something to keep an eye on.

Interesting note: Howard was on the field for 4 of Mitch's 6 TD throws even though Cohen played the majority of meaningful RB snaps

Bear fans feeling pretty lucky right now too. We have the best defense in the NFL and our offense looks like it could be very good too in time.

Susan must be having a blast. Mitchell setting franchise records for a franchise with quite a history.

I lost my voice singing BEAR DOWN, CHICAGO BEARS!

Tolliver looked good today. Roquan made some great plays. Khalil is the best player in the NFL. Aaron Lynch has stepped up massively. RRH, Eddie Goldman and Hicks are monsters. Bilal Powel had an incredible play to blow up a running play. Eddie Jackson and Adrian Amos are beasts.

BEAR DOWN!!!

Nagy has toys and he's going to exploit the matchups in our favor.

Cannot wait for Shaheen to get on the field. He's going to change our offense.
