OK, Jackson & Lynch are out. Jackson definitely hurts but I think the front 7 put a hurt on Nick Mullens.

Mitch passes for 250+ yards & 3 TD's.
Mack Daddy with 2 sacks & multiple pressures/hits.

Final score: Bears 34, 49ers 17

This game scares me a bit because of the injuries but I think we prevail. Nagy will have the crew ready and mentally focused. Bears cannot look past this game and we have to hope the unexpected happens with the Rams in one of the next two weeks. Just win out and let the chips fall where they may. Staying healthy is the main concern now.

Yup, I think Mitch needs to have a good, clean game and not get rattled. Mullen has a great TE to throw to but as noted I think he gets rattled by our front 7. GO BEARS!!!

Don't give Mullen time in the pocket to throw any deep balls, keep Kittle covered, spread the ball on offense. Pay Bears football and we win.

As fans we tend to project our own feelings on the team so many expect the Bears to suffer a letdown today after two big wins. I don't know about that, but I do know that it's hard to win on the road and that Shanahan is the goods.

I'm also looking for a big game from Trubisky vs a depleted Niners secondary. Go Bears!

Nagy always gets too cute.

Howard is dominating. Keep running him. Run play action.

SF is a scrappy, well coached group.

Good drive there to get 7.

Read on Twitter

Roquan is starting to really take games over. Between him, Mack and Jackson there's going to be a lot of competition for who's best on this defense in the coming years.

Well, nothin's easy, but we'll take it. Trubisky played well. Defense did their thing.

Underwhelming game offensively, but at least they won.

I'm guessing next week's game against the Vikes gets flexed.

to night? if so and rams win, do bears sit their starters or do they prefer playing eagles in wildcard?

nagy got real lucky on that dumb 4th and 1 call, btw (unless for some reason he knew the sneak would work). third week in a row he's made the wrong decision on 4th
the donald, always unpopular, did worse in EVERY state in 2020. and by a greater margin in red states! 50 independently-run elections, none of them rigged

They already flexed the game to a 325 start, with the Colts/Titans being the night game.

Rams play the same time as the Bears so Nagy will have to decide if he wants to risk it or not.

Thoughts on the Mack trade?

I don't think we can sit anyone next week if we are playing simultaneously with the Rams and 49ers... and we can't get too caught up watching the scoreboard of the that Rams game either.. but we have to be watching somewhat and if Rams start to blow out the Niners then Nagy can think about sitting some key guys. The 49ers could quite possibly pull it off, they have been playing well... and if the game stays close, Bears just need to take of business and then just maybe a bye is still in the realm of possibility. That would be the ultimate outcome, although as has been stated, this seems to be a Bears team that thrives on momentum and rhythm and hasn't done well after periods of rest.

So, that being the case, having to play a wild card game might not be a bad thing after all. Momentum is everything coming into the playoffs and we need to win big and come into playoff week two feeling good about ourselves and tuned up and primed. If this defense can just step up one more level and Mitchell can stay composed, I believe the Bears can make it to Super Sunday and anything can happen.

How great would it be to just get to the NFC Championship game this season? Nobody, even the most optimistic of us, expected Mack to have this huge of an impact. He has changed this franchise completely and turned this team into contenders probably two years ahead of schedule. What a trade that was. One of the best deals made in 2018 in any major sport. This is just so much fun. I never expected this football season to be so exciting for us Bears fans. We really have something going on here. Let's see some magic happen. It feels like 1985-86 again.

I think I'd like Nagy to play them for half a game regardless.

This team has looked bad coming off of BYE (or long lay-off) week, so it might not be bad for them to play from ther get go in the playoffs. Obviously home field is always better, but it's just a thought.

For me personally, it boils down to Trub having progressed quite well in his 1st year in a new system, one that requires 1-2 years to master. Taking into account the fact that his 12 games under Fox were a wash or throwaway I view this as his rookie season under a brand new system.
I would have been happy with 8-8 prior to the Mack trade and upped that to 9-7 or 10-6 afterwards. Here we sit at 11-4 with a puncher's chance at a bye but really my point is if they make it to the NFC championship I will be extremely happy. Anything more is just gravy.
