And Lee has always been the good guy of the team, respected by everyone in the league. Even if it was someone like Barrett or a young guy like Theriot it wouldn't have been as bad to me.

It was out of character for Lee, no doubt. He has the respect of most players and fans. I was surprised to see him take a swing.

Zambrano has no respect from other players and fans. Great, he hit his catcher. What a great teammate he is. Now he acts tough with 24 backups around him. Very impressive.

Lee deserves, and will get, a suspension. Bush league for him to take a swing. He couldn't even connect against the pitcher.

The cubs coaches held Z back.

Yes Lee will get suspended. But it is very emotional when you get hit in a place that knocked you out for most of last year after the Padres said they would hit someone in the papers.

Don't troll over here because your worried about the division lead.

Even the most balanced individual can snap after someone throws a baseball at his head at 90 mph. It sure looked like Young was going out of his way to make sure Lee knew that it wasn't an accident. I'm not saying Lee is right or wrong, but with the way Young walked towards Lee (and Lee went to him as well) I am not surprised that it escalated. Of course Lee is going to be more likely to throw the fist "official" punch of the brawl because Young has already landed his first blow by hitting him with the pitch.

Yeah, no one respects Zambrano's ability.. Get real dude.

He is a very good teammate actually.

Z is one of the few baseball players who doesn't mind throwing down. So for a baseball player he does qualify as tough.

Yes I come here because I'm "worried". Yes Zambrano was "held back" by the coaches. Otherwise he would have kicked some Padre ass. Did they pull off his belt too?

"Zambrano has no respect from other players and fans."

Be more clear then.

A lot of players & fans respect Zambrano's ability.

At least Ward will be healthy when Lee serves his suspension. Wish we had him today.

OK I've had enough fun with the Cubbies fans. Didn't mean to "troll". Lee taking a swing caught me off guard, I'm actually a big Derrek Lee fan.

Seriously MickeyDavis... what exactly are you hoping to accomplish besides trying to get under the skin of Cub fans? There is nothing wrong with non-Cub fans posting here, but it is all in how they say what they say. You're a moderator for crying out loud, in other words, you should know this as well as anyone.

Lets say Sheets is starting. The Brewers get into a brawl. It's early in the game and Sheets looks great so far.

Do you want Sheets to get in the middle of the fight?

Would have been nice to have Derrek Lee's glove fielding that last hit.

We all know Z is crazy. We all know that was out of character for Lee. So lets keep it at that.

No bad feelings!
