Amazing how someone can watch Harden night in and night out and not realize how incredible he's been this season.

Put Curry and Harden together and Klay by himself on the Rockets...

and Harden has an inside threat in Dwight to draw attention from help defenders vs Bogut who doesn't

Yep, Dwight has really taken the load off Harden this season!

Eh... not really comparable though. Dwight is good but both he and Bogut are primarily defenders and neither are on the perimeter.

I don't think Klay could produce 70% of what Harden has if you had a straight swap whereas Harden would probably produce at least what Klay has.

I'm not denying Klay's talent, but he's not on Harden's level. Harden is possibly the best player in the world right now.

per 36 mins Harden is 27.4 and Thompson 25.4. Not that far apart scoring wise. Harden is a better passer and rebounder yes but Harden's game is way too dependent on referee calls (9.2 ft attempts per game vs just 4.0 ftas for Klay) and we've seen how that changes in the playoffs.

Harden has had some great games this year and some real stinkers too.

6 pts on 1 for 8 shooting vs Memphis (L)
16 pts vs Clippers (L)
15 pts on 5 for 21 shooting vs Suns (W)
21 pts on 8 for 23 shooting vs New Orleans (L)
11 pts on 5 of 13 shooting vs New Orleans (L)
12 pts vs GSW (L)
20 pts on 7 for 22 vs Bulls (L)
18 pts vs ATL (L)

It's too soon to call him Best in the world just yet.

Well, to each their own I guess. Klay is very nice, but I take Harden over him 7 days a week.

Jimmy Butler, the guy you just said who has come back down to earth in another thread.

That's cool. I will admit my opinion is probably influenced by my not liking Harden's personality. He's mega talented but he strikes me as a douche.

Would you take Harden over a healthy Kevin Durant? Anthony Davis?

No I don't think I could take him over those two guys. Not Durant for sure, maybe Davis.
