Ok guys, Motie just grabbed 21 rebounds in Euroleague, that was sick. And a first Euroleague W this season. Rebounding was one of his main weaknesses but he not only improved it, but just got mad on it. If he keeps it going, he may pans out after all. Still not a believer because of his terrible defense, but it looks he tries hard.

Donatas play center for 2 years now, even though its not his natural position. He is NBA PF, I mean look at Bargs, hes terrible at C, we can just assume he wouldnt be that bad with defensive center next to him. Same with Donatas...

21 Rebounds

WTF

1/5 FT

WTF

He has to be shooting under 50% from FT line this year. When did we draft the euro Ben Wallace?

yea just saw this, 21 rebounds albeit crappy shooting night 2-8 2 pointers, 2-4 3 pointers, 11 points.

his rebounding does seem improving phenomenally.

it looked like after missing most his first shots, he got pissed and went after every rebound.

it's more like he's trying to improve on everything else so he blows off practicing free throws.

I think Its his worst FT% in years now. He actually never was that great, which is kinda strange because he has good mid range and everything, but he was alright FT shooter.

I remember some reports questioning Motie's work ethic and I thought it was complete miss fire. He always seemed to be a huge worker who wants to be better every day. He has very strong personality...

his biggest problem i see from a fan perspective, at least, is that he falls backwards when releasing the ball.

VTB:
League Book of records: Motiejunas – is a new record-holder for rebounds
Image
Lithuanian center of Asseco Prokom Donatas Motiejunas set a new record of VTB United League in rebounds. On Sunday in Nymburk, in the match against Czech Nymburk Motiejunas made 18 rebounds - this is absolutely the best record in the history of the championship. Remind that the American players Travis Watson (Zalgiris) and Shawn King (Minsk-2006) made 17 rebounds.

EUROLEAGUE:
Motiejunas sets defensive rebounding record
Donatas Motiejunas etched his name in the Euroleague record book on Wednesday by hauling in 18 defensive rebounds in Asseco Prokom Gdynia's 67-52 victory over Union Olimpija Ljubljana. The promising young big man more than doubled his previous rebounding high of 10 as he posted 11 points and 21 boards to lead the Polish champs to their first Turkish Airlines Euroleague win of the season. His 18 defensive rebounds eclipses the previous mark by 1, which was first set 11 years ago. Joseph Blair set the record in December 2001 when he played for Scavolini Pesaro and the competition’s rebounding king, Mirsad Turkcan, matched it in January 2003 with Montepaschi Siena. By finishing with 21 rebounds, Motiejunas became only the third person to ever haul in more than 20 boards in a single game. The all-time single-game rebounding record belongs to Antonis Fotsis, who collected 24 when he played for Dynamo Moscow in March 2007. Turkcan tallied 23 rebounds once and 21 on three occasions.

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

Can anyone tell me if he's playing in NBA or Europe this year? Link appreciated.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."
