The national press probably would have a field day though. Southern city votes down protection for lgbt would be a popular headline to sell.

Oh, no kidding. I've seen it in a few places already.

It hurt the narrative they are going for with the fact that we've elected an openly gay woman as mayor for three consecutive terms. Once people get past the emotion and actually look at the issue it makes complete sense. Unfortunately, most never get past the initial emotion.

CONCACAF, CONMEBOL and the LOC have determined the 10 stadiums of Copa America Centenario to be played from June 3rd until June 26th, 2016 in the United States.

The host metropolitan areas and respective stadiums are: Boston (Gillette Stadium), Chicago (Soldier Field), Houston (NRG Stadium), Los Angeles (Rose Bowl), New York (MetLife Stadium), Orlando (Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium), Philadelphia (Lincoln Financial Field), Phoenix (University of Phoenix Stadium), San Francisco (Levi’s Stadium) and Seattle (CenturyLink Field). Similar to the FIFA World Cup, each venue will host matches on multiple days through the tournament. Most venues will host at least three games.

The tournament will feature six teams from CONCACAF and all 10 teams from CONMEBOL.

Great win for the Texans. Let's hope the Rockets can turn around in similar fashion.

http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/texas/article/These-countries-can-fit-inside-Texas-6686116.php

I usually don't click on picture galleries, but this one was interesting. It's 47 pictures comparing the size of Texas and the size of Houston to other countries and cities.

Area-wise, the city of Houston will be bigger than Dallas & Fort Worth once the expansion to the Grand Parkway is completed. That one surprised me.

I still can't believe Clint Capela is on this list.

Its been a struggle, but the Rockets are only 1 game back for 4th in the west.

Anybody watch the show, FARGO??

I'm binge watching the second season and love it. Only two episodes left.

I tried to watch it but season 1 is not available on the Xfinity website and I didn't want to start from season 2 even though the stories are exclusive. Instead started Banshee, only through a couple episodes and good lord the nudity.

Banshee is incredible! I can't wait for the final season to begin.

And yes, the nudity - if that sort of thing offends people then they need to avoid this show!

I miss Scola so much.

And Lowry. And Hayes. And Yao. And Suga Shane Battier.

Hell, I even miss T-Mac.

Don't even get me started on Rafer!

Ah, good times that weren't really all that good at the time but nostalgia and stuff, etc.

Seriously though, Scola was amazing.

So was his hair.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

I only watched Season 2 and going back to Season 1 soon so I'm with you. Never seen Banshee.

I'm waiting on Suits and Mr. Robot to start up again. Workaholics also.

Happy for Kubiak and Wade Philips, they got done by the stupid ass Texans GM that couldn't get a good QB during his tenure.

I'm happy for them as well.

Meanwhile, we are going into the second decade of the Rick Smith General Management.

This looks like the thread for random thoughts...

I really wanted Keff Morris in the worst of ways. I was on the Wiz page and things are not going well with him. I would like to say that I was wrong and am happy Keff is not in Rocket Red.
