Side note, is Parsons the only Morey draftee never to play for the RGV? I know Brooks, Landry, Jones, DMo, Morris. PPat, White, Taylor, Canaan, Dorsey. They all played there. Not sure about Chase Budinger.

Well his rookie year was the year of the lockout so he played in Europe before the season resumed, so that was better experience than D-League.

Parsons only played three games in France before the lockout ended and he came back to Houston.

Yea but what most people didn't know was that Parsons had access to the hyperbolic time chamber during his stay in Europe.

True, but most rookies get to play actual NBA minutes right out the gate. Not Rockets rookies. I think it just robs the players and the fans out of the rookie experience. I say let them run in the big league first to see how the play. As long as they are not losing games for us, why not. I'm not saying let them start, just let them get their feet wet.

team that tank play rookie
contender don't play rookie
which rookie didn't spurs played?
leonard? that's one of the few exception just like parsons
don't make it sound like rockets don't play rookies
tjones, dmo did get playing time in their rookie season
when you're ready to play you will play

T Jones and D Mo rarely got any playing time their rookie seaons. Jones for the most part didn't even get to sniff an NBA game and yet, which one ended up starting?
Another case of not playing when they are ready to play is Troy Daniels. He was more than ready to play after the All star break and after he had already broken the record in D-league. For some strange reason, he did not make it up until the playoffs started.

tjones played in 19 games and avg 14.5 mpg in his rookie season
dmo played 44 games and started in 14
when you are ready to play you will get to play
if rockets have anthony davis, kyrie irving
i'm pretty they will get to play

daniels played far least than tjones in his rookie season

Ibaka was ther 24th overall pick. Capela the 25th.
Hopefully Hakeem will tutor him instead of NBA players who are already stars.

Serge actually has a brother Igor Ibaka who is 22 who played JUCO ball last year

Covington will be on the vipers before gee

I think gee makes the squad...he isn't great but he is ok

Johnson and Capela will be d-league for sure, though

Hopefully Canaan will be serviceable until nick Johnson is ready

Yes Horry started his first games. They were back-to-back regular season games in Yokohama, Japan vs Sonics. Matt Bullard actually started those first 2 games because Otis Thorpe was hurt but when they got back to the U.S. Rudy started Carl Herrera instead of Bullard until Thorpe got back.

Dear god how did you remember that?

I forgot about Gee. I think Johnson may be able to carve out some minutes right away. Capela will be D-league bound for sure.

If Gee does make the squad it's to be used as a trade chip. $3 million unguranteed is pretty tempting for a lot of teams. Not sure when the deadline is to cut him before it becomes guaranteed.

Capela had a good game helping Switzerland win over Russia in a friendly game yesterday. He had 11pts, 7 rbds and 5 stls against NBA competition in Timofey Mozgov. Good start.

He looks like a center to me, but I don't think he's ready to contribute much next season. I'm looking for a trade to bring in a backup behind Howard.
