whats that with mchale consistently posting up dorsey and refusing to postup dmo?!!?
Are you kidding me?!! the all time great post player addicted to posting up players that suck at postups and refusing to postup dmo whose a master and artist of post moves?!!?
Is he jealous of DMO or what?
is he hiding dmo as a secret weapon for PO or hiding him from trade or simply retarding his progression in order to extend MAX player for change?
another paradox the all time great postup player is never tired of his players chucking 3s but as soon s postu ups dont work once or twice he stops posting up??? holyy ****!!!
you have to remember our offense goes by what the defense give us
opponent is not guarding dorsey in the post
they know about dmo post move
they are not allowing him to catch the ball easy in the post now
nice try but i think it doesnt explain the weirdness well...
better explanations are dmo s lack of confidence/alphamaleness or rockets retarding his progress to extend him for cheap...
here are my comments of your explanations
not correct about dorsey...they
are guarding dorsey and hes posting up...its not like we are giving him the ball while he has no anyone on him... we are legit posting him up( which i am not against though but why no gave the same chance to dmo but of course a lot more because hes a lot more skilled)
regardless if they know or not about dmos postup he'll score efficiently when posted up...you aint stopping it...except perhaps if you are de andre or davis(but he proved he can adjust even to davis type)...remember they also know about harden -nevermind we go to him always even when its not working...they know about ariza 3s we do it again and again despite it not working...
no matter how you try to put it posting up dmo is perhaps the most efficient play for rockets...
its not important for him to catch the ball in the post...he proved it he can dribble it easy to his preffered position
so to sum it up...its most probably the politics or lack of confidence...or a hidden weapon for playoffs half-court...
Fact is that momentum in games is a real thing, while not tangible itself, you can tangibly see the effect it has when teams are on runs and how it can dramatically effect the outcome of games when you can generate any momentum.
