Pretty sad. He was probably my favorite QB on those Barry Sanders-era teams. Long story short: head injuries + a son that died of a heroin overdose a few years back led to him shooting himself in a motel room. Hopefully he gets the physical and mental help he needs.
At the end of the day, it's not about wins and losses. Teamwork, fair play, and good sportsmanship make champions of us all.
