maybe the allstar break unless the giants suffer a injury in the rotation.

Honestly, I hope not till September. I would rather them put Sanchez into the rotation or even Brad Hen before they called up Lin. Simply put, young kid with a Cain-like future. Do not rush him. Let him get a full season of minor legaue ball under his belt, get some confidence in professional baseball, then let him take the #3 spot next year behind Cain and Zito.

My two cents.

Lincecum outduels Padres prospect Jared Wells 6-0. Five innings, 2 hits, no runs, and 8k's.

Lincecum has 66 strikeouts in 36 2/3 innings pitched during his two-year professional career

I mean is it normal for a minor league pitcher? Does that happen a lot?

no, if a pitcher averages 9 ks per 9 innings hes considered a stud. lincecum was beyond phenomenal in his short stint in san jose.

In the majors, I know. I was just wondering if the K rate was the same in the minors.

Just nevermind, sheesh.

Lincecum starting tonight against Tacoma.

Blackley didn't have a good outing last night. But, who cares? Ellison is gone.

If you find one, please post it. I can watch it in between the Lakers rolling the Clippers.

This guy is a stud.

I'm not saying this season (but I wouldn't be against it), do you think because of Timmy, this would allow us to trade Lowry for a bat?

Um...why would you want to trade Lowry? First, he is a dam good pitcher. Second, he is a leftey and left handed starters normally have longer baseball lives than right handed starters. Third, he is just entering his prime now. Fourth, what you would get for Lowry will not win this team a WS so why bother?

Cain, Zito, Lincecum, Lowry. How can you break up that starting 4?

The only pitcher on the Giants I would trade would be Morris. I immagine he will go at the deadline and the Giants will bring Lincecum up. I would rather wait until September but I know the Giants want to give the fans something so he will be up sooner.

For me, it would take a 5-star all-star for me to give up Lowry. Let us accept this season as a gooner. Let us build our very good looking A-ball program up and then see what we can do. Trading Lowry now does nothing for this team.

if morris and ortiz continue to pitch well they could fetch a ransom at the trading deadline.

No decision tonight against Tacoma in 6 2/3 shutout innings with 11 k's. Looks like he got Matt Cain'd by the bullpen.
