Thought this was worthy of its own thread. Really good article with some quotes from Rodgers I don’t think have gotten enough attention.

One of the things that has often been mentioned here and elsewhere is that for minimizing some of the shortcomings of the WR's would have been for Rogers to have participated in the earlier off-season sessions. Yeah, yeah, yeah, "he's an MVP, he shouldn't have to show up for that crap". Not accepting that cop-out. If he recongnized that this might be his last shot at a championship, then it certainly would have made good sense to step out of that entitled persona and either help get the new guys up to speed earlier, or to help the FO figure they weren't ready for prime time in any fashion yet.

Since Rogers chose not to participate in those early sessions, he needs to back off his complaints. He didn't help the progression, so carping about it mid season is too late IMO. Fire away.

Great article. Provides some clarity to Rodgers comments about simplifying the offense. Now whether he’s right, that’s a very good question. Is it too complicated for such an inexperienced receiving corps? Or is it more important than ever because the receivers can’t get open without the scheme?

Interesting that Rodgers wants to go tempo.
