IIRC, there was a modern metrics analysis of QB history across the league a few years ago, and Jay Cutler - by that metric - was the best Bear's QB of their 100+ year history.
No need for a metrics analysis to tell you that. Bears QBs have always been bad. It's their culture.

They're gonna ruin Caleb too so don't worry. Talk about their weapons on offense all you want but their Oline is still bad and that coaching staff isn't gonna have the leash (or is good enough) to survive the growing pains that come from a rookie QB playing behind a questionable oline so by this time next year he's gonna have to learn an entire new system and that instability is gonna be revolving door for his duration there

We unintentionally might be onto something with having a bunch of decent to good but not great WR's and spreading the ball around. The top end contracts are starting to get crazy at WR.

Having a young WR on a rookie wage scale five year deal wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Just sayin.

I didn't see the vision earlier in the process but I'm coming around. I'd be surprised if they went there at 25 but I'm comfortable drafting another guy pretty early if that's how their board falls.

I must be losing it because I was thinking a 4/60 deal would have been about right.

I’d say Reed is pretty damn similar to St Brown and literally a fraction of the cost.

Lamb and Jefferson must be happy seeing that contract.

How does those two big contracts affect Jared Goff's extention? I believe he's a UFA in 2025

Goodell was interviewed by McAfee today. He said he envisions an 18 game schedule with 2 preseason games. No surprise, everyone expected 18 eventually. He reasons that it's no different, still 20 games. Obviously starters don't play much in the preseason so there IS a difference. He also talked about 2 bye weeks and then pushing the SB to President's Day weekend so "everyone will have off the next day" (I don't have that day off).

I'd just add an extra bye week without expanding the number of games. Gives the players extra time off and gives the networks an extra week of games (and therefore more money for the league). George Kittle promoted the extra bye when the season was expanded to 17. However, there were 2 byes in 1993 and it was scrapped after a year. The networks didn't like the "watered down" schedule and some thought teams looked "out of sync" having the extra time off.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

The plan was always to go 18 and wait for people to complain they needed more bye weeks to get it to happen.

I wouldn’t even mind if they added a third bye week so you had a one week break every 7 weeks (6 games one bye x 3)

I like the idea of 18 games and 2 bye weeks with the Superbowl being President's weekend(mainly because I get President's day off which would be awesome)

That number is in line with like Tyler Lockett, Courtland Sutton, and Jerry Jeudy. St. Brown's production is top 5. 4/60 gets a laugh and a **** you from his camp.

Fair enough, that was just kind of a number I threw out off the top of my head. For the record I really like St Brown
