If corporate personhood is a thing, Fanatics might-could offer a test case on the fragility of life.

I know alot of people hate Fanatics, but them suing MHJ seems like the logical thing to do if MHJ truly is ignoring a contract he signed. Now we don't know the true details because that's all been sealed to my knowledge, but I think it's a fair bet that Fanatics wouldn't be suing a star athlete if the case wasn't black & white.

Now that ATL has a competent QB, I wonder if Pitts finally puts it together and breaks out.

It will be interesting to see what happens if Rogers comes out looking like a 40 year old high mileage QB, coming off a serious injury. If he looks less than stellar, network execs are going to **** bricks....

I hope he does, just so the stupid tight end argument in the draft can forever die.

This singular clip? Nothing. But I'm guessing his usage will be more of an emphasis.

They'll just pivot to "something something Eric Ebron".

Love it.

Yup.

There would also need to be rule changes to decide which system takes precedence, or even if a referee spotting of a ball is challengeable.

I remember my wife lol'ing 10+ years ago that, with all their tech resources, a multi-billion dollar industry still used sticks and a chain for first downs. But we concluded the chains were for the drama. "They're calling for the chains..." I wonder if we'll lose some drama with this chip, as accurate as it might be.

That's exactly what it was. Goodell has said they love the drama of the chains coming out.

And of course the spot will still not be done electronically. They don't have an option for that yet.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Just do one of those little animations on the jumbotron like they do when the beer bottles race each other or when you bowl a turkey

They will probably have an animation like tennis' Eagle Eye, but they will really draw it out and have a sponsor.

Oh there is no doubt there will be animation and sponsorship involved.

This would've been pretty crazy, and is further proof that McCarthy was not the Viking's guy all along.

Were Vikings contemplating a trade up for Malik Nabers — and a trade of Justin Jefferson?

“Pssst,” Waters writes. “There was buzz at draft time that the Vikings wanted to move from No. 11 to No. 5, not to pick a quarterback but to get LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers, who was picked No. 6 by the Giants. Had that trade occurred, Jefferson would have been traded and Nabers would have been the No. 1 receiver.”
