Rodgers was responsible for 11 sacks, sacks after 4 seconds, most in the league. Also responsible for 7 TDs and only 2 INT after 4 seconds. 48 completions on 107 attempts for 762 yards.

Ponder has a QB rating of 9.3 after 4 seconds.

Definitely an area he needs to improve on, and I think he will this season. Talked briefly about throwing the ball away more at the end of last season.

What's the reasoning behind pushing the draft date back?

Well apparently in 2014 they are being bumped because the venue had already been booked by another group on their normal date. I don't see how pushing it back makes them more money so I don't think that is the reasoning.

Pushing the draft back to May is something Breer reported two months ago. But it's probably happening in 2014 because of a scheduling conflict. The Radio City Rockettes show, "The Spring Spectacular," is scheduled to be held at Radio City Music Hall in late April, when the draft usually is held.

"We're actually getting bumped by the Easter Bunny. They're going to have an Easter show. We'll be prepared for that," NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said last month on "The Rich Eisen Podcast."

IMO it makes sense to bump it back a bit, or at least bump back the rookie camps to leapfrog graduations and allow everyone to participate.

This article get me really excited for Bishop's return this year. I think a lot of people forget how dominant Bishop was a couple years ago when he was healthy. Also I agree that Perry and McMillian are two of the biggest x factors on the defense coming into the season.

Bishop, Perry, Neal, Burnett, McMillian are all guys that have the potential to 'blow up' this year. We just need a couple to become real difference makers and we could see major improvements. But yeah, Bishop is huge. He single handedly takes the overall physicality of our D to another level.

I read an article that said that said Neal's pass rushing numbers were damn near identical to Jenkins numbers a few years ago as far as pressures per attempt go. He just needs to take it up one more notch and turn a few more pressures into sacks.

Exactly. He was pretty quietly turning into a stud last year and the sky is the limit. Should be fun to see how much havoc him and DaTone Setter can wreak.

QB performance without pressure vs. with pressure. Surprise, surprise Rodgers is again near the top, 89.4 QB rating behind Big Ben's 98. According to PFFs rating system, Kapernick is one of the worst at handling pressure and one of the best without pressure, 114.8 without pressure and 53 QB rating with pressure, lol.

our sack total was #2 i think in the league. Much was due to Neals emergence as well as Daniels.

Matthews, Perry Bishop
DJones, Neal, Daniels, Raji

Oh man - our pass rush should be dominant. We could also be top 5 in INT. Hayward could have 8 INT this year. McMillian and Burnett could have 3-4 each.

THE challenge is stopping the run consistently - especially on 3rd & short!

Couple of OTA notes:

Neal lined up at DT in nickel and..... OLB a few times too. Tested out in coverage.

All QBs were rusty, JC Tretter was injured yesterday and will be out for the remaining OTAs, Shields unavailable since he didn't sign his tender yet, Bishop, House, Sherrod out and MM expects them to comeback in that order, Jolly unable to practice yet, Barclay got practice at guard and Von Roten only at C, Datko at G. Green dropped two swing passes.

Not practicing:
Worthy, Sherrod, Bishop, Moses, House, Richardson, DuJuan Harris, Johnson, Forsey.

You also have to factor in those sack totals that Capers blitzed a lot last year, No. 8 in blitz frequency, STATS research showed.

Neal at OLB? Didn't see that coming. Guess they want to move him around. McCarthy said they want to expand his role.

Seems like a really weird thing. Wonder if they want him to get some work there in case of an emergency?
