Stark contrast to the Bucks...

After Murphy's minor verbal slip up at a girl's sports event, they all went to non-comittal response. Well done

Yeah, I appreciate him saying the right stuff on the way out. It feels genuine to me and it's nice that there isn't a Rodgers v. Packers organization rift to contend with for 15 years or whatever.

Forgot about that. Yeah, Murphy can behave sorta dopey. I don’t count him. He response to most football related questions should be some form of “I’m sure Gute and his team have that under control”

A couple of days ago there was mention that Rodgers might show up for voluntary OTAs now this guy is saying Rodgers will redo his deal to help the Jets sign more players. Would have been nice if he did some of this with the Packers.

He will be back as our QB in 2024! It was just a way to make us clear some cap space and get some draft picks for him! We can even showcase Love now and trade him when the season is over...

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Rodgers renegotiates and front-loads a new deal to help the Jets kick the can down the road. He definitely acknowledged months ago that restructuring his deal would have to be part of the plan if he continued playing, regardless of where. It was probably part of the plan as soon as he signed the deal in 2022. The original deal was just for leverage to have control over where he plays, and now that it's served its purpose, they can change the terms.

Even though I wanted to trade him last year I still don’t like seeing that. Just weird and bizarre.

Everybody needed a fresh start. I don't like him, but I'm happy for him. This is as it should be. I hope he does reasonably well, but not too well, for all the obvious reasons. 8-)

It's like many divorces: both parties love the kids but hate the hell out of each other. And then the kids get pulled back into the fray against their will, or their better judgement if they're older.

Brady didn't retire a Patriot. Montana didn't retire a Niner. Favre didn't retire a Packer. I'll never really get why people hate seeing an all-time great in another uniform. At some point I fully expect Giannis to play out his twilight years in another uniform and I'll be 100% happy for him.

Yea, it doesn't bother me one bit. This is the life cycle of great NFL QBs. Some bum franchise will always be willing to pick them up in their twilight years praying they can make a push for a SB.

That could be why we haven't heard of any financial compensation included in the trade deal.

Also, don't fret over that video. We all know how this ends. Not well. (not directed at you CHL, thread in general)

"Happy for Rodgers" isn't exactly the vibe I'm currently getting from Packers Nation.

I do often wonder if social media were around during the era of Michael Jordan (serial gambler/serial cheater), or other Hall of Famers, if there would be as many "fans," who were so apparently offended by the person that it significantly affected the way they viewed the player, as it seems to with guys like Rodgers and Lebron. I always thought that most people watched sports to be entertained by the athletes who can do it at the highest level. Sadly, due to the current media landscape I don't believe that to be the case anymore.
