So I didn't notice Quay much in the first game and know he got injured, but it seemed like he was everywhere in game 2 and, idk if its his single digit number, but he looks like an absolutely massive human, in a game of other big dudes.

He made a few great plays in the Vikings game before being injured. In fact, he covered Jefferson on one play better than most of our DBs did.

packers play zone a bunch, would this be a game to man up? bucs literally have zero receivers and no gronk. are they going to blitz too? i don't think i've seen them blitz once in 2 games. Gary and Preston have been getting a TON of pressure, but would be nice to give them 2 some help.

Better not play zone against Brady. He'll be more than happy to just throw 5 yard passes to the running back over and over again

The Packers, maybe more than any other team, should be playing as much man as possible.

Really gonna be disappointed if the pass rush can't get after Brady in this one. Gary/Clark/Preston has been an absolute demolition unit so far by the numbers.

Not gonna happen under Barry:

Defensive coordinator Joe Barry defends philosophy, calls Packers a 'zone team'

Defensive coordinator Joe Barry doubled down on his zone philosophy this week, calling the Packers a “zone team." It’s what the Packers predominately played last year in Barry’s first season, and it’s unlikely to change. Even if Barry believes he has the personnel to play more man coverage.

Barry made clear his game plan was not a lack of confidence in Alexander’s ability to cover Jefferson throughout a game.

“Jaire Alexander is, if not the, he’s one of the best corners in the National Football League,” Barry said, “but we feel pretty dang good about Eric Stokes and Rasul Douglas as well.

Yeah, definitely not a fan of that at all. What is the point of the resources put into the corner position if we are going to play zone?

I think we're all getting sick of the weekly "will he, won't he" song and dance, but then maybe you should've just shut him down on IR and reevaluated after Week 7-8.

:dontknow:

Unless he's taking a roster spot from someone else who can really help us, it doesn't make much sense to IR him that long. The wait and see verbiage is annoying, I agree, but no reason to shut him down until week 8 unless you KNOW he's out until week 8.
