This team would have been so much better had we kept Leonhard as DC.

Maybe but I doubt that was realistically possible or feasible.

I’m starting to worry. My against-the-grain take has always been that running the air-raid and a DB-led defense in the upper Midwest recruiting footprint is a terrible idea. Those fears were assuaged a bit by some recruits that have not even had a chance to make an impact yet.

I’m giving Fickell a long leash and they’re working with a 6-6 team that didn’t totally fit what they wanted to do, but this sucks.

How would Leonhard get them to score more points?

Throwing twice when you only need 4 yards is not optimal, I don't care what offense you run.

He always should’ve been a LB

I just don't think he's that good. Dude's John Clay. Just a big college bully back.

Clay ran like a 4.80 40. Allen is much bigger and faster.

Clay also got really fat his last year in Madison. I'm not sure that clocked time is representative of what he was here. Allen certainly isn't much bigger. They're both 245 to 250 lb backs at 6'1, 6'2.

So I understand the transition year stuff. But this is freaking Georgia Southern.

They've given a lot of reasons in the first three games to not really follow much of the rest of the season.

This team smells like they’re either not smart or not well coached.

This team sucks, Allen has gotten slower every season and basically looks unplayable now. This defense is getting smoked woof. Georgia Southern isnt a bad team though

Shouldn't be a TD. He needed the ground to get control.
