I would like to see Tramon and House not back. If your going to go after a corner then go after someone like Chris Culliver. I prefer to go into next season with Hayward and a drafted CB.

I do not recall this.

Neither do I. it was a WTF moment for me for how much he got.

He was so wrong that the comment got him banned

It wasn't a WTF moment for me because he just wasn't paid all that much. I was more or less indifferent about it at the time thinking he could be an average level player not what he turned in to where he was definitely a negative when on the field last year.

I thought it was fine because he was pretty cheap and had been really good in coverage.

Then he was just bad after that. Really, really... really bad.

I was miffed because I thought he was a stop gap for bishop and he had no pop like Bishop. I was hoping they were going to search for a replacement for Bishop in the off-season and when they re-signed B jones i thought WTF u actually think jones is going to replace bishop!?! I was a fan of bishop and thought he was one of the few players on the D that brought the physicality and bite to our D. I disliked the signing immediately because it told me they were content with brad Jones as a starting ILB.

I always felt cullen and bishop were unsung heroes of the 2010 D and we needed to replace them with similar types and failed miserably.

Remember when Capers compared Jones to Chad Brown? Feels like 100 years ago.

Should we make a sign for him: "Will tackle 4 yards after the line of scrimmage for food."

Sorry, I'm not an AJ Hawk hater, but he was pretty bad this year, and I couldn't help myself.

Goodbye Brad Jones.....You won't be missed.

We won't have to see moments like these anymore...

And maybe one of the saddest sack dances of all time: Image

Maybe you and Mcmillian can get a room together as former AWFUL packer defenders:

No oscars for this performance:

And here is your TYPICAL Brad Jones moment!!! 3rd and long, incomplete, BUT WAIT!! We have a penalty on DEFENSE!!! #59 doing something that was COMPLETELY unnecessary and did nothing but give the other team a first down!

Goodbye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even if the Packers let Cobb test FA, I hope there isn't any friction there that he wouldn't come back at all.

Jones gets cut, then Hawk gets cut and I'm feeling pretty good. This news is a buzzkill. Good players that want to "test the market" don't usually come back to their original team. Cobb is going to be difficult to replace.

La Canfora has jumped the gun before and he isn't citing a source close to Cobb or the team.

This contradicts what the beat writers have reported too.

It's probably a case of camps leaking stuff.

I'd be stunned if TT let a 24 year old productive player walk after his rookie deal. Doesn't bode well for future players IMO if that happens.

The Pack gotta find a way to get this done. The offense gets locked up to man press with cobb and jordy. If we lose cobb, then jordy is gonna get pressed with a safety over the top and the offense will struggle. All the experienced WRs we lost over the years and the loss of Finley has hurt the offense some. And I know TT has hit on alot of WRs in the draft, and Adams looks promising, but is he ready to be the number 2 receiver on a contending team? Who is gonna replace cobbs production? Percy harvin? Yuck. Not to mention our TEs are pedestrian. We need guys to get open for ARod and we'd be taking a step back if we lose cobb imo.

The first year they moved him to MLB pro football focus graded him one of the top MLB in the league. He hurt his hamstring the following season and has just been bad ever since.

I was reading on Twitter that some people think Clay is better suited at ILB than OLB, having lost some explosiveness to effectively rush the passer every down.

If that's the case, I wonder if the Packers are actually looking at edge rushers in the first round, not ILB.

Personally, I think that his biggest weakness at OLB (holding the edge on running plays) is negated by him moving inside. He can still move outside to rush on obvious passing downs.
