So I have always liked John Ross, but Corey Davis looks like a good 2nd round pick if possible.

He won't make it to us. Even if he slips a bit, he'll go early 2nd.

TJ Watt is entering the NFL draft. I'm a little surprised by this one.

I'm not, I thought it was a given. What more does he have to prove?

I feel like he is really overrated. I think if his name was TW Jatt, nobody would care about him. I didn't even think he was the best LB in that defense.

I'm gonna assume he entered his name to the draft advisory board and he was fine with the feedback, but I didn't ever think he was a 1st round talent. I barely considered him a 2nd round guy.

Yeah, I was surprised Watt left after one year, where he didn't even start as a starter, but with his injury history, may as well strike gold when he can.

I don't watch much college football, but really like what I have seen from Alabama TE Howard tonight. Looks like he would be a great fit and available with our first.

Don't think he or Mike Williams last to our pick, but I would take either in a heartbeat. Look at how good Howard is with a QB who can't even throw the ball.
Mike Williams is going to be a stud!

He's gonna go earlier than that. Will test out great athletically, and the motor and bloodlines don't hurt.
Do it for Chuck

TJ has the size and instincts. I don't know if he has the speed/explosiveness.

I'd compare him to Clay Matthews, Fackrell, Ripkowski, Wes Welker, Cole Beasley, Danny Woodhead, and maybe his brothers imo.

Except for the fact that 3 of those guys, and his brother, are tremendous athletes. But yeah I get it, they're white.

Don't forget that they also have a high motor.

I get your snark attempt but it's actually true.

I agree. You weren't really the culprit here. The Watts do all have high motors.

Yet none of them have as high of a motor as Mike Daniels (he's black).

Re: Packers 2017 NFL Draft Thread
What's everyones take on Joe Mixon?
It seems like the popular take is the kid shouldn't be allowed in the league.
My take is - what the heck else is the kid supposed to do, give up and work at McyD's?
Not trying to lighten the impact on what he did (knocked out a young woman), but I guess maybe I have a level of forgiveness in me for a kid who made this mistake as essentially a kid, that I just don't have for a grown ass man who got paid like Ray Rice.
This is going to end up as a pretty big draft story, as you can get a kid who's a 1 or 2 without that punch, well after that. I personally would take the chance, but curious to see what everyone else thinks

I don't remember the exact year, but Ted did give Koren? Robinson a second chance after his DUI issues. In that case though, Ted knew him already, he had drafted him in Seattle. They let Guion come back, but again, he had already established himself here, Ted knew him.
For the most part though, the Packers seem pretty averse to controversy, and I'd be really surprised for if they drafted Mixon.
