I guess it doesn't matter much with players skipping bowl games but I'd rather see Oregon against Ohio State or Georgia instead of Liberty.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

It's ridiculous that Liberty is being rewarded for being so toxic that legit teams stopped scheduling them.

It's **** insane to leave an undefeated power conference team out of the playoff. The only time that should happen is if there are five of them.

“Do we really risk irreparably damaging our relationship with the SEC and ESPN/ABC for a conference that won’t exist in 3 years?”

The only conservation that mattered in the CFP deliberation room.

(Maybe also some straight bribery)

It set a **** precedent that they are lucky to not have to worry about after this year. Perfect storm for them. People will chirp if they do this to a really good 11-1 team with the 12 team playoff but it won't matter as much.

Not so much straight bribery, but more like they want the best ratings possible for these games to generate revenue. FSU are 13.5 point underdogs against Georgia. They would be similar or worse against Michigan. Hard to get the masses excited about tuning in to such a game.

The CFP is garbage corruption personified, but I assumed everyone should have already known that. You can give me all the reasons why including that they actually wrote it into their stupid "charter" that they can discriminate based on player availability. Doesn't change the fact that it's been how many years now since ESPN all but telegraphed their favoritism by launching a separate SEC programming block amongst all the other crap they've done over the years to openly **** on non-SEC conferences. They deserve all the heat and criticism for this gutless decision to pander to their sponsors and revenue streams. Cuz that's all this is, and you can't convince me or anyone otherwise.

I recently read that the ACC had a winning record against the SEC this year. Of course that's not conclusive, since it depends so match on which ACC teams played which SEC teams, but it sure does make this look even worse.

The sad thing is that I've often defended some degree of SEC bias, given their track record in the CFP and the difficulty of winning every conference game week in and week out. Their supremacy is overblown, but it is not fabricated. Bama and Georgia would deserve preference over almost any other 1-loss conference champion in recent memory, not including Texas this year of course, and also over the occasional undefeated team with a very sketchy schedule. But they've never been faced with a decision that would prove them to be so brazenly corrupt before, and this is exponentially worse than any controversial pro-SEC decision they've made previously. They really showed their true colors.

They'll definitely be some chirping about 4/5 going forward since top 4 get a bye but it won't be as big of a deal as leaving someone out completely. And of course there will be chirping about 10-15 but that's fine.

McCord sucks. Writing must have been on the wall that he wouldn't be penciled in next season.

McCord may be of the caliber of a one year band aid for Wisconsin or the like. But OSU obviously must aim higher.

This was for sure a writing on the wall situation. I believe Day was noncommittal about if he would start in their bowl game, which was yikes.

Dillon Gabriel to Oregon . That'll be a tough matchup for Bucky next year

Be interesting to see how quickly NIL money has an effect on the NFL rookie salary scale. The rookie scale was set without any market to compete against. It's obviously skewed towards teams, as rookies had no say or leverage when it was negotiated. Does Carrington Valentine making $850K a year compared to Jaire's $21M salary sound right? Although it's a great deal for us a team it sure doesn't sound right to me. There is performance based pay that is added on at the end of the year but it's small in comparison.
