I think Rodgers' thumb needs season-ending surgery.

MUST LOSE!

although I hate Philly fans so I would celebrate a win.

With Philly playing vs bucks tonight, I'll be happy with Wisconsin teams splitting with a bucks win and Packers loss.

I really hope they can use it as cover to get Love at least a couple starts. It would be negligent to not get a look at him before having to make a decision on his 5th yr option.

I don't think the Eagles are a great team. The undefeated talk was hilarious. But they're a good team and should have no problem at home in this one.

I think the undefeated talk was purely schedule based. They play no one.

Eagles barely beat Texans and Colts.

We have a chance, but I doubt it. Man I want to lose out at this point but I can't stand anything related to Philly sports. Lived there for years and their fans are sh**. Mix that with the recent events with the 76ers and I'm hoping for a win.

Sorry guys.

Also can't stand anything sports related with Philly. I hope they fail miserably down the stretch.

From Pete Daugherty and Eric Baranczyk via Green Bay Press Gazette and MJS:

https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2022/11/19/packers-should-give-linebacker-quay-walker-a-chance-as-a-pass-rusher/69661334007/

Minus Rashan Gary, the Packers should give their No. 1 draft pick a shot as a pass rusher
Pete Dougherty and Eric Baranczyk
Green Bay Press-Gazette

GREEN BAY − It was a given sometime down the season’s stretch, the Green Bay Packers’ pass rush was going to feel the loss of Rashan Gary to a season-ending torn ACL two weeks ago.

It happened quickly. In their second game without him, the Packers’ pass rush against Tennessee on Thursday night was mostly MIA. The Packers couldn’t get pressure on quarterback Ryan Tannehill with four rushers, and coordinator Joe Barry’s relatively unimaginative blitzing wasn’t all that effective either as the Titans quarterback threw for 333 yards and a 127.3 rating.

So what are the Packers going to do in the final six weeks to heat up quarterbacks more than they did Tannehill? Where’s the rush going to come from without Gary?

Well, one possibility comes from the top of their draft this year. They picked Quay Walker at No. 22 overall as an inside linebacker, but he has traits that suggest potential as an occasional, if slightly undersized, outside rusher. He even lined up about dozen times as an edge player against Tennessee as part of a six-man front to stop the run, and he surprisingly did OK on the edge as a run defender.

Walker is as explosive an athlete as the Packers have on that side of the ball – he ran a 4.52-second 40 at the NFL scouting combine and has enough height (6-3¾) and weight (241 pounds) to suggest he might be able to rush occasionally from the outside to go along with blitzing from his regular inside linebacker position. In this time of desperation at 4-7 and with Gary’s season finished, the Packers should find out if Walker can add something to their rush.

This game will probably be a close loss and be incredibly annoying based on almost every other loss this year.

I had the thought a couple months ago about the possibility that Quay could be the Packers version of Parsons. Even just the poor man's version. I think they should give him a look as an edge guy, but the comparison starts to break down when you account for the fact that while Walker is a great athlete for the position, Parsons is an actual alien.

Several guys missing practice due to illness. Covid or this seasons flu bug? (Cobb, Crosby, Carpenter, Ford for guys that should see the field Sunday)

That broken thumb news also can have the effect of salvaging some off-season trade value. There's a legitimate reason for the drop in performance.

Could've sat out and waited until it healed and we'd have a similar record.

Not playing Love doesn’t say much about our coaching staff’s opinion of Love. Perhaps they actually remember Love’s start last year when we didn’t score until the last series of the game. That was against the 27th ranked D in the NFL too.
