You have it backwards and don’t you remember how good rodgers looked the last couple years with MM

Last 3 years under McCarthy.

2016- 4,428 yds, 40 TDs, 7 INTs
2017- Only played 7 games
2018- 4,442 yds, 25 TDs, 2 INTs

Definitely not terrible. You're not gonna convince me that Rodgers owes anything to Matt LaFluer. Rodgers was one of the best ever before LaF got here. Come on now.

Rodgers 1st year under MLF was probably his worst year at the time. You're telling me MLF had to break Rodgers to build him back up or does MLF only get credit when things go well but none of the blame when chit hits the fan?

But this scenario already played out. He brought him back after last year. Hell, Barry should never have been hired in the first place.

Tonyan is the best of the lot and he's just a journeyman free agent now. Who was the last better-than-average TE the Packers have had on the roster - Finley?

We have needed a te forever.

Finley and a brief season w/the guy who caught that impossible 4th down catch in Dallas playoff game years ago.

Been pretty barren for most of last couple decades.

A sizable portion of the blame has to go to our system(s) or to Aaron. We've never had a TE who was targeted consistently for more than a one-year period. We had an excellent receiving TE in Jared Cook, who had much more productive years with other teams before and after he came to Green Bay.

For all the Gute defenders I have a lot of things to say but the thing I can't wrap my head around is, he let our cheap RT go and replaced him with? Anyone got an idea?

Keep dreaming about a TE. MLF hand picked what he wants there. A Deguara, not a Finley

They sure came in clutch tonight outside of Watson. Bunch of scared, low IQ rookies is exactly what a team looking to contend needs.

Definitely. It’s likely Barry is back. Dumb. But likely.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

If we don’t fumble at the end of the half, we’re up minimum 12-3, maybe 16-3, instead of 9-6. We lost by 4. Huge huge fumble.

He inherited a HOF QB, HOF WR, elite LT, & elite RB. Sure, he's added a few good pieces but so has every other GM in the league.

Exactly, the standards are in the goddamn gutter, it's like we're the freaking Knicks or something.

Because he didn't give Turner $3 million to play 7 games ?

Lol, MLF isn't nor should he be getting fired after one bad season. Hire a non-dumbass DC and bring on the Love era. Game was a microcosm of the season. Bipolar defense and the offense couldn't convert in the two most important areas (3rd down and redzone). A lot of the latter is on MLF's once-every-other-4th-down brain fart play-calling, but Rodgers is an absolute husk of his former self. We need fresh legs at the QB position and purge a bunch of the veterans from the roster. Stop kicking the can down the road.

Zac Tom who appears to be a 10 year starter in the making AND Yosh who appears to be an average T in the NFL.

Very strange flex. Very strange indeed.

Nijman came in and played awesome at RT this year and he's making like, the minimum? What are you even talking about?

Let's be honest, a week of playoff hype would've been cool. But next weekend SF would've kicked the crap out of us.

Go Bills, but I'll take anyone but Minnesota winning it.

He was awesome? Goddamn the standards really are in the gutter. He wasn't even our 1st choice RT.

You on your period?

Judging by your lack of impulse control and strange passion for this subject, I'm betting you did a similar thing to Walker and got canned, and are jealous he didn't.

Pretty obvious now.

Zach Tom is a left tackle who chit the bed tonight and was below average outside of a few games. There's a reason Jenkins started at RT once he came back from injury and it's because our other options there were no good either. We had no plan at the position, Gute just decided to wing it.

If anyone is to blame for the OL debacle, it's the coaches for insisting Newman or Hanson were starter material. And let's not forget about the Amari catastrophe. And the red zone garbage is 100% coaching

It was a pretty good game, tbh. Packers had two turnovers, Lions had zero. That decided the game.
It's not like the Lions suck any more. they were 8-2 in their last ten games.

That fact that it took so long for LaFleur to get rid of Amari and turn the return duties over to Nixon is reason enough to fire his ass.

Return to Green Bay Packers
