That would put him tied with Carroll for 3rd, behind Bill ($20 million) and Payton ($18 million). It only takes one desperate owner to pay it and someone will.

Could some of that be Johnson reading the market where most the expected openings are going to be on crap teams, with desperate AND impatient owners wanting instant turnarounds? If he's going to risk his career reputation in that sheeptrap setup, he's expecting to get paid.

Otherwise, he's got a decent gig in Detroit, as long as Goff doesn't self-destruct

Idk. Getting a chance to go team up with Justin Herbert seemingly would be one of the best possible openings a coaching candidate could ask for. Not many openings come with a young talented QB like that

Chargers might have the best opening since they have a QB but I don't know that Spanos would pay that. Staley was getting $4 million (they still owe one year). Bears might be attractive if they move on from Eberflus and get Caleb. They'd still owe about $9 million to Eberflus. Giants, Panthers, Commanders, Raiders.

It's pretty rare for a good team to have an opening so he might want to take a HC gig if it's offered. If Detroits offense tanks next year there will be other hot coordinators in his place.

Carolina is the interesting one, so much instability there.

HC salary should be part of the salary cap, but obviously it won't be because that how nepotism gets paid ;)

Coaches salaries aren't part of the cap in other sports.

Is there a team we are supposed to be rooting for tonight?

Saints are miserable. If they end up moving on from Dennis Allen, he’d be another candidate I’d put on a short list for D-Coordinators.

The Texans/Browns game in Houston is not sold out and the Texans are enforcing a blackout, the game will not be on TV in the Houston area. It's pretty rare for teams to enforce blackouts. Back in the day if a game wasn't sold out 3 days in advance it was automatically blacked out. Now it' s up to the teams.

The saints kicked the can down the road for years. Idk why they arent fully trying to tank now, maybe they cant, but their books have been waiting to be lit on fire.

I tuned in to watch the 4th quarter tonight and Peacock gives you the option to watch highlights so far or go to the live feed. Amazon gives you those options or you can watch from the beginning. Point to Amazon. The Peacock picture is top notch for me.

lmao Lions trying to blow the division. Kicked away a chance to recover a fumble that would've sealed the game and allowed a 3rd and 27 conversion the next play.

Possible outcomes for Pats

Loss: choice of Maye, Daniels, or MHJ
Win: Enjoy your offensive tackle

Return to Green Bay Packers
