Was looking at some trades in recent years that are at least somewhat applicable to the Packers situation. I ignored trades involving players.

23 for 37 and 71
25 for 31, 117, 176
22 for 25, 127, 197
26 - 46, future 2nd
31, 203 for 45, 79
12 for #25 and future 1st

I don't really love where the Packers are currently sitting and given who they've looked in visits, it wouldn't surprise me if the Packers decide to make a move. Possibly up a couple sports to ensure they get someone like Mims or Kool-Aid, or out and they load up on guys in the 2nd and 3rd.

Where I find that list of deals somewhat interesting is we have a price tag if the Packers want to move up to #12. I'd be tempted for the right player.

Just think if we really do make 11 picks, the competition at so many positions could be unbelievably tough. That type of competition could make so many positional groups turn from good to elite. I’d be more interested in consolidating all that and went more quality over quantity in the draft. It’s interesting to think about though. I’ve never been this prepared and unprepared at the same time for a draft lol.

It's funny. When I think of safeties who can play all over a couple come to mind, but DeJean isn't one of them. Bullard and Bishop, sure.

An extra note
-When going through the top guys, 2 guys stood out to me as guys I am fairly confident that if they stay healthy will end up with near HOF careers, and that was Joe Alt & Marvin Harrison Jr which is why I ended up putting them as my top 2 on the board. I love Caleb Williams and his ceiling is certainly just as high if not higher than Alt or Harrison, but ultimately I think Alt & MHJ have such a high floor comparatively do Caleb or any other prospect for that matter.

I'd be into it. Not gonna discount the idea that Gute is engaging in some subterfuge and he's got his eyes on someone who might require a trade-up. But they've looked at a pretty extensive list of guys who you would expect to see go in the 2nd and 3rd.

Little Cleo would be proud.

Re: 2024 NFL Draft - five picks in the first three rounds (seven in four! [probably])

On Legette

An impressive combine performance -- including a 4.39-second 40 time and 40-inch vertical at 6-1, 221 pounds -- put Legette in the conversation of this draft’s risers. And while some NFL scouts and coaches aren’t sold after just one year of production for the Gamecocks, his athletic ability alone could entice a team to take him Thursday night. Legette had just 42 catches and five touchdowns over his first four seasons at South Carolina, missing parts of 2020 (hamstring) and 2021 (motorcycle accident), but he made the most of his extra year of eligibility, totaling 71 catches for 1,255 yards (second in the SEC behind only projected top-10 pick Malik Nabers) and seven TDs last season. He had roughly a dozen top 30 visits and did a private workout for the Bills, who just traded Stefon Diggs to Houston and own the No. 28 pick.

Wouldn't shock me if the Packers visit was to entice Buffalo to move up.

I can't help myself....

A working-class Sterling Sharpe? Solely on the Gamecock connection and sturdy build for a WR, for their respective eras?

A.J. Brown. That's the Legette comp/ceiling if you believe he can put it all together in the pros.

I think they only trade up if they are in love with one or two of the 2nd tier of tackles and want to guarantee they get one.

Does anyone think they'd have interest in a DL like Newton or Murphy (if he falls) at 25? I feel like Murphy if he's there would be a really enticing option.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.
