I understand trading Sneed because you can only pay so many players. Shocked all they could get was a 3rd and a 7th.

Pretty easy argument that Donald might have been the strongest pound-for-pound player the NFL has ever seen if that's true.

I don't know about this. It feels like a step too far to legislate how a defender can tackle, especially when some of these defenders are expected to routinely tackle guys taller and heavier than them and stop them in their tracks to prevent a first down or TD.

The change to the challenge rules seems like a good idea

Man, **** Deion, his kids, and anyone that tries (and probably succeeds) to/in dictating what team they play for out of college. Yes, that includes Eli.

So it's pretty much illegal to tackle a player from behind now

Transfer portal is going to instill that mindset for a lot of these kids and before you know it, the NFL becomes the NBA. Only thing keeping it from going that far are the different guarantees in NFL vs NBA, but I'm sure they'll try and change that in the next ten years lol.

So the proposed new kickoff rules were not passed?

I don't believe they've been voted on yet

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

NFL players will just need to make some minor tweaks to their tackling techniques and not put all their weight on the back of a receivers legs as they're bringing them down from behind. The sport will be fine and this will stop being a thing rather quickly.

Yeah because they adjusted so quickly to not landing on the QB when making a sack and it totally doesn't piss fans off when that call goes against them.

Oh and that is just "not landing with their full weight on them" so I can totally see this being a much bigger success

This is just another step to two hand touch

I suppose it might make power backs more valuable. The moment they get past the second level DBs are screwed

Not sure if you watched the XFL at all but I really enjoyed their Kickoff rule. Much better than the constant touch backs we've been getting in the NFL

I'm usually not in favor of gimmicky stuff, leave that to the crappy leagues no one watches. It will be interesting to see how this goes.

So should teams perfect the Squib kick so it lands in the Goldilocks zone?
