San Francisco Lead Up - Saturday 7:15 Fox

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Jan 15, 2024 3:26 pm

We were playing with house money in Dallas, now we're swimming in house money. Obviously a very tough game. Hopefully Jaire is ready to go. CMC will be tough to stop. Kittle over the middle against Quay and Campbell. Ouch. Niners are loaded.

The early forecast for Saturday is 59 degrees, 50% chance of rain.

Niners open as 10 point favorites.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Feel the same way as I felt going in to Dallas. If Love plays well, I'm happy. If we lose in a shootout I think it would be the easiest playoff loss to take ever.

**I say that now but I reserve the right to be pissed if we have an opportunity to win and do something stupid.

Pretty crazy that I actually feel better about our chances in San Fran than I did at any point in the last 4-5 years. For whatever reason, Rodgers always played like dog **** against them. If Love goes into there and lays at least a 30-burger on their heads, build him a damn statue already.

This is 2021 but the exact opposite. Crush their hopes like they crushed ours and I'm ready for a Love statue outside of Lambeau.

Still playing with house money. God and his NFL wizard angels will all pick the Niners, so go in relaxed and steal them blind.

I can't help but think this one is won or lost by the D. I doubt that McCaffrey, Samuels, and Aiyuk are going to lay the goose eggs that most of the Cowboys did.

Feels like Quay is a real key, he has the speed you need against this 49ers O. He needs to be really good on Saturday.

Packers also need to approach this one with a 'score every possession' mindset.

I had the thought going in to Dallas that we'd likely need to force a turnover or two and it could not have gone better. I don't trust our defense to consistently get enough stops for 60 minutes so I'm hoping we can catch lightning in a bottle two weeks in a row and force a takeaway or three

I was pretty confident the Cowboys & MM would disappoint, now beating SF in the playoffs after the Rodgers era beatdowns they gave us would be truly excising some demons.

There are a lot of new players on this team that don't have the Niner scar tissue this franchise has endured in the last few failed playoff runs. Hopefully, they can go into another high-pressure situation and just act as if it's another game. The cliche saying, "You don't know, what you don't know" continues to ring true.

Who cares about SF?

Time to focus on who we are facing in the NFC Championship.

Honestly, Dallas had one major weapon we had to focus on (Lamb) while 49ers have so many in Deebo, Aiyuk, Kittle, CMC. This is going to be tough. Their weakness is their secondary, but we need our oline to give Love time to find the open playmakers which will be tough against that defense.

I thought GB would beat Dallas. I do not think they'll beat SF.

But hey, would be extremely stoked to be wrong!

Yeah i get it's a joke but if they beat SF this team is playing in the SB.

GB is giving 2 years ago Cincinnati vibes

That said from a matchup standpoint SF looks like they were built in a lab to smack us around. But you don't have to be the better team 365 days of the year. Just gotta be better for 3 hours on 1 day

49ers aren’t the juggernaut they were a couple years ago. They lost to PJ Walker led Cleveland this year.

Very winnable game, we just need to keep the play-action coming.

Not sure about that. If TB wins tonight, the way we have played all year I can see us beating SF and losing to TB in the NFC Championship game.
