Every pick in every draft there is debate down the line about players bypassed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

He might ultimately project better inside but I don't know you would arrive at the idea that he can only play guard considering he played exclusively LT in college.

Most projections have him moving inside because of how short his arms are.

His arms are only a tad shorter than Tom

I get it but I don't think the Packers go this route if they think he has no shot to play tackle. They'll get their best five out there and I might be in the minority but if it ends that he's a good guard I'm not mad at that.

I'm not even that mad with Morgan. The NFL has really started to value guard play and I'm generally a big believer in winning in the trenches. If Morgan is your starting RG for the next decade this is a success. It's moreso that DeJean was on the board. I absolutely loved DeJean, he was my #8 overall prospect.

He's still available, they could trade up if they like him.

Morgan's injury history concerns me.

A torn ACL that he fully recovered from? Or is there something else?

They are nearly an inch and a half shorter?

Morgan 32 7/8

He also came back relatively quickly from the injury and didn't skip a beat when he came back.

He's had several injuries in his career including to his shoulder and ankle (along with the ACL).

You're right. My apologies. But my main point still stands. If the idea is Morgan takes over for Tom at RT and they move Tom inside then they just spent pick 25 to upgrade the interior OL which meh at best

Should have traded with the Cheifs and got an extra pick and still have gotten their guy.

Even my lady friend told me an extra quarter inch doesn't make much difference.

It's always hard to guess at value relative to draft position but I love this player. I think he's going to be an absolute stud. I like smart, smooth moving athletes at tackle and he fits that perfectly.

Not a fan. 2nd round grade, some injury history, good athlete but didn't do agility testing. Idk, this is the exact scenario I kinda worried about (settling for the 7th-8th best O-lineman prospect) and I'll stand by that. But this organization just knows how to develop lineman, so what do I know?

Didn't Bulaga have comparatively short arms too?

Bulaga's arm length matches Tom's at 33 1/4, about a half inch longer than Morgan's

Sounds like Gutey was never going to trade up

Maybe Morgan is center? Any way I slice it this is an underwhelming outcome to me. Settling for a hopefully good interior lineman when we had ammo to be more aggressive.

Biggest reaches by consensus:

1 - Nix
2 - Penix
3 - Pearsall
5 (tie) - Morgan
5 (tie) - Latham
